Rejaul Karim Laskar
Rejaul Karim Laskar is an Indian politician from the state of Assam belonging to the Indian National Congress. He is a Congress ideologue and has written extensively on the policies of the United Progressive Alliance governments. He is also a prominent author and scholar of India's foreign policy and diplomacy. He served in the capacity of Observer (Minority Department) to the All India Congress Committee in Meghalaya, Nagaland and Mizoram. He is also former Spokesperson of Assam Pradesh Congress Committee and former Secretary of AICC Vichar Vibhag (the Intellectual Department of the All India Congress Committee). Jacques Laskar
Jacques Laskar (born 28 April 1955 in Paris) is a French astronomer. He is a research director at the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS), and a member of ''Astronomy and dynamical systems'' of the Institute of Celestial Mechanics and Computation of Ephemerides (French: IMCCE) of the Paris Observatory. He received the CNRS Silver Medal in 1994 and the Milutin Milankovic Medal in 2019. Since 2003, he is a member of the French Academy of Sciences. Education and early teaching career After attending the École Normale Supérieure de Cachan, Jacques Laskar taught secondary school from 1977 to 1980 and passed the aggregation in mathematics in 1981. A lascar was a sailor or militiaman from the Indian subcontinent, Southeast Asia, the Arab world, British Somaliland, or other land east of the Cape of Good Hope, who was employed on European ships from the 16th century until the middle of the 20th century.
