Lars Svåsand
Lars Svåsand (born 21 July 1947 in Bergen) is a Norwegian political scientist. He is professor at the Department of Comparative Politics at the University of Bergen and affiliated with the Chr. Bergen
Bergen (), historically Bjørgvin, is a city and municipality in Vestland county on the west coast of Norway. , its population is roughly 285,900. Bergen is the second-largest city in Norway. The municipality covers and is on the peninsula of Bergenshalvøyen. The city centre and northern neighbourhoods are on Byfjorden, 'the city fjord', and the city is surrounded by mountains; Bergen is known as the "city of seven mountains". Kaare Strøm (born 10 April 1953) is a Norwegian political scientist. He received his PhD from Stanford University in 1984, and is now a professor at the University of California, San Diego. He has also been a fellow at the University of Rochester in 1988, the Hoover Institution on War, Revolution and Peace from 1994 to 1995, the Rockefeller Center in Bellagio in 2001 and Stanford University from 2004 to 2005. He won the Pi Sigma Alpha award for best paper at the American Political Science Association's conference in 1983, and in 1994 he won the Stein Rokkan Prize for Comparative Social Science Research. Knut Heidar (born 29 April 1949) is a Norwegian political scientist. He was born in Moss. He has a PhD from London School of Economics, and was hired at the University of Oslo in 1975. He was promoted to associate professor in 1980 and professor in 1992. He was the dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences from 2007. Fanny Duckert took over on 1 January 2012. Heidar edited the journal ''Scandinavian Political Research'' from to 1990 to 1993. His main field of research is political parties and party systems. Odd-Bjørn Fure
Odd-Bjørn Fure (5 March 1942 – 22 December 2022) was a Norwegian historian and political scientist. He was born at Stadlandet, and was a brother of politician Julius Fure (1931–2006). His main studies were in comparative politics, but he switched field with a 1983 doctoral thesis on the history of the Norwegian labour movement between 1918 and 1920. He had not previously studied history. After having had several positions, Fure became professor in modern history at the University of Bergen from 1998 to 2002. He was then appointed director of research at the Norwegian Center for Studies of Holocaust and Religious Minorities. From 2002 to 2004 Fure was editor of '' Historisk Tidsskrift'', a Norwegian journal for scientific historical research. He was a member of the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters.
