Larry Hibbitt is a record producer from Wandsworth, London. He is guitarist/vocalist in the post-hardcore band Hundred Reasons. Million Dead
Million Dead were an English post-hardcore band from London, active between 2000 and 2005. History The band was founded in 2000 by Cameron Dean and Julia Ruzicka, after both came to London from Australia. They were joined by Ben Dawson, who had worked with Dean in a record shop in the city. The band's lineup was completed with the addition of vocalist Frank Turner, an old bandmate of Dawson's. The name was chosen from a lyric in the song "The Apollo Programme Was a Hoax", by Swedish hardcore punk band Refused. The first Million Dead demo was recorded in September 2001. The band's touring career began with support sets for Cave In, The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster, The Icarus Line and Alec Empire. 2000 Trees
2000trees festival is an independent music festival held from Wednesday to Sunday on the second week of July at Upcote Farm, Withington, near Cheltenham in Gloucestershire. It offers a diverse selection of more than 120 acts across five stages, plus comedy, a large selection of food traders, themed bars and a headphone disco on the two main stages every night of the festival. It also won the Grass Roots Festival Award at the UK Festival Awards 2010, 2013 and 2017 and the Best Medium-Sized UK Festival in 2018. 2000trees was started by six friends in 2007. Banquet Records
Banquet Records is a record shop in Kingston upon Thames, Greater London. Formerly part of the Beggars Banquet Records retail chain, it became fully independent in 2002. It stocks a broad range of music on both vinyl and CD. The establishment is also home to Gravity DIP music management, as well as the Banquet Records record label. History Started as part of the Beggars Banquet chain of record stores before becoming fully independent in 2002. The store was sold to the then manager, however decreased profits led the store to near bankruptcy towards the end of 2004. In February 2005, Banquet Records was taken over by new owners; previous employees of the Beggars store, Jon Tolley and Mike Smith. In 2017, the store won Music Week's award for best independent retailer of the year. ''Quick the Word, Sharp the Action'' is the fourth studio album by British-based rock band Hundred Reasons, released on 15 October 2007, on V2. The album was recorded in Riga, Latvia, and is the first to feature guitarist Ben Doyle, following the departure of founding member Paul Townsend in 2006. ''Quick the Word, Sharp the Action'' was re-released on 20 April 2009. The band's official website describes the album as being: hewn from a particularly bleak period in the band’s history; friends died, a founding member left, Colin was told he might never sing again. It’s the cathartic outpouring of a band going through a heartbreaking time but coming out the other side, stronger, better and smiling all the way. Re-release Less than a month after the album's release, V2 Records was bought over by Universal, leaving the band, once again, without a label. ''Kill Your Own'' is the third studio album by British-based rock band Hundred Reasons, released on 20 March 2006, on V2 Records. This is last album to feature guitarist Paul Townsend and the first to feature guitarist Larry Hibbitt as producer. Guitarist and producer Larry Hibbitt stated that the album is:"Quite an angry record. There are quite a few twisted moments and Colin's lyrics are a lot darker than before. At first the name seemed weird but after a while it just sort of made sense. It was the one that we just kept coming back to. It's a song about purposefully being a cunt to the people that you really love. It's when you really fuck people over, even when they're some of your closest mates." Producer of band's previous two albums, Dave Sardy, mixed three tracks on the album, as well as b-side, "Casual Friday". ''Shatterproof Is Not a Challenge'' is the second studio album by United Kingdom, British-based rock band Hundred Reasons, released on 1 March 2004, through Columbia Records. Following the album's release, the band were dropped by Columbia Records. In 2006 guitarist Larry Hibbitt stated that:there were a lot of things that were wrong with [the album]. A lot of it was to do with the fact that we had absolutely no working relationship with the label by the time it came out. There was loads of pressure to get ''Shatterproof'' out and get the ball rolling again. They just wanted a record - any record. It just got put out and forgotten about. It still sold 65,000 but nobody quite seems to realise that.
