Lardo (restaurant)
Lardo is a small chain of sandwich restaurants, based in Portland, Oregon. As of 2024, the company operates in Portland on Southeast Hawthorne Boulevard, at the Moda Center, and at the Portland International Airport. Additionally, there are Lardo locations in Lake Oswego, Oregon, and Las Vegas. Locations The first two restaurants opened in Southeast Portland's Hosford-Abernethy neighborhood and in downtown's West End. A third restaurant, sometimes referred to a Lardo North, opened along North Williams Avenue in 2014. The North Portland location closed in 2016, and the West End location closed in 2024. Lardo also operates at the Portland International Airport. The business became a vendor at Moda Center in 2023. Hawthorne Boulevard (Portland, Oregon)
Hawthorne Boulevard is an east–west street in Portland, Oregon and the dividing line between multiple neighborhoods, although "Hawthorne" is often itself considered its own neighborhood. The street stretches from the Willamette River on the west, (although it continues over the river via the Hawthorne Bridge and becomes Madison Street through Downtown Portland), and 92nd Avenue on the east. Mount Tabor blocks the street between 60th Street and 72nd Avenue. Hawthorne Boulevard is a principal street west of 50th Avenue and a residential street to the east. The most famous portion of Hawthorne Boulevard is between 29th Avenue and Cesar Chavez Boulevard (formerly 39th Avenue) which serves as a cultural hot spot for Portland's hippie movement. Moda Center, formerly known as the Rose Garden, is the primary indoor sports arena in Portland, Oregon, United States. Southeast Portland is one of the sextants of Portland, Oregon. Boundaries and features Southeast Portland stretches from the warehouses along the Willamette River through historic Ladd's Addition to the Hawthorne and Belmont districts out to Gresham. North Portland is one of the six sextants of Portland, Oregon. North Portland is a diverse mixture of residential, commercial, and industrial areas.
