Landward
''Landward'' is a long-running Scottish television programme focusing on agricultural and rural issues, produced and broadcast by BBC Scotland. Overview BBC Scotland had first produced its own farming programme, ''Farm Forum'', in 1965. This was broadcast on a monthly basis as an opt-out from the BBC's ''Farming'' programme, in order to concentrate on issues relevant to Scottish farmers. In 1976 an increase in the output of farming and rural affairs programming led to the introduction of ''Landward''. The issues which ''Landward'' addresses are generally those within the rural public consciousness of Scotland, itself a country with a large farming community. Additionally, the show features stories covering Scotland's vast landscape, with various stories covering the wildlife and nature of the country. Anne McAlpine
Anne McAlpine ( née Morrison; previously Lundon) is a Scottish journalist, newsreader and weather presenter working for BBC Alba and BBC Scotland. She is best known for presenting ''Reporting Scotland'' and '' Landward'', and narrating '' Scotland's Home of the Year''. Dougie Vipond
Douglas Vipond (born 15 October 1966) is a Scottish broadcaster and drummer. Early life Vipond was brought up in Inchinnan and attended Park Mains High School in Erskine, choosing to go there because of the reputation of the music department. After school he enrolled at Glasgow's Royal Scottish Academy of Music to study orchestral percussion. Deacon Blue Vipond was one of the founding members of pop band Deacon Blue along with Ricky Ross and Lorraine McIntosh. Their 1988 hit "Real Gone Kid" peaked at number 8 in the UK Singles Chart. They have had 12 UK Top 40 singles and two No.1 albums. He remains an active recording and touring member of the group alongside his broadcasting career. Sarah Mack
Sarah Mack (born circa 1973) is a Scottish television presenter and journalist. Mack started her career at the now-defunct Edinburgh Live cable TV station as a runner and production journalist. Within two months of working for the station, she made her first on-screen appearance as a weather presenter. She joined Grampian Television (now ''STV North'') in August 1998 as a reporter and presenter for North Tonight. Amanda Hamilton (born 1974) is a Scottish businesswoman, broadcaster, and writer in the areas of food, health and nutrition. Early life Hamilton was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, to Ann and Ronnie, both physical education teachers. Eric Robson
Eric Bell Robson (born 31 December 1946) is a television broadcaster, author and documentary film maker who has lived for most of his life in Cumbria, where he has a sheep farm. For many years he was the main presenter of ''Brass Tacks''. Early life Robson was born in Scotland and attended Carlisle Grammar School in Carlisle, Cumberland.
