Sarah Mack
Sarah Mack (born circa 1973) is a Scottish television presenter and journalist. Mack started her career at the now-defunct Edinburgh Live cable TV station as a runner and production journalist. Within two months of working for the station, she made her first on-screen appearance as a weather presenter. She joined Grampian Television (now ''STV North'') in August 1998 as a reporter and presenter for North Tonight. Whilst at Grampian, Mack also presented the social affairs series ''Grampian Midweek'', magazine show ''Grampian Weekend'' (alongside Michael Crow), outdoor pursuits' programme ''The Great Outdoors'' and for Scottish Television, travel show ''Scottish Passport'' (alongside Bryan Burnett). Grampian Television
Grampian Television was the original name of the Channel 3 service for the north of Scotland founded in 1961 and now named STV. The northern region's coverage area includes the Northern Isles, Western Isles, Highlands (except Fort William and Lochaber) Grampian, Tayside (except the Kinross area), and parts of north Fife. Grampian went on the air on 30 September 1961. The company was bought out in 1997 by STV Group (the parent company of STV, the Channel 3 broadcaster in Central Scotland). The name ''Grampian Television'' was retired in 2006 and the channel is now known as ''STV'' on-air. STV runs one service which covers both central and northern Scotland but with separate news bulletins. ''North Tonight'' is a Scottish nightly regional news programme covering the North of Scotland, produced by STV North (formerly Grampian Television). History During the late 1960s and 1970s, Grampian's regional news service consisted of daily 10-minute evening bulletins. By 1978, the bulletins had developed into a magazine programme entitled ''Grampian Today'', initially broadcast from Wednesday - Friday before expanding to every weeknight. The programme was relaunched as ''North Tonight'' on Monday 7 January 1980 in an effort to reflect the Northern Scotland region as a whole - its first presenters were John Duncanson and Selina Scott. Michael Crow is a former Scottish political journalist who worked as Director of Strategy and Communications at the Scottish Conservative Party from 2009 until 2010. Following the 2010 UK General Election in which the Scottish Conservatives won only one seat, Crow's post was terminated due to 'financial constraints'. ''Landward'' is a long-running Scottish television programme focusing on agricultural and rural issues, produced and broadcast by BBC Scotland. Overview BBC Scotland had first produced its own farming programme, ''Farm Forum'', in 1965. This was broadcast on a monthly basis as an opt-out from the BBC's ''Farming'' programme, in order to concentrate on issues relevant to Scottish farmers. The One Show
''The One Show'' is a British television magazine and chat show programme. Broadcast live on BBC One weeknights at 7:00 pm, it features topical stories and studio guests.
