Lance Butters
Lance Butters (born 1988) is a German rapper. Born and raised in Friedrichshafen in southern Germany, Butters started rapping in his youth. Biography Lance Butters was born in 1988 in the South German town Friedrichshafen. In his childhood, his parents divorced, which he often mentioned in his music. Between 2006 and 2010, he participated in the Reimliga Battle Arena, a German online platform for rap battles. In 2010 and 2011, he participated in the Videobattleturnier (VBT), but lost against Tamo-Flage in 2016 and T-Jey in 2011. In the years, he also released multiple freetracks with the producer Bennett One on YouTube. On 22 December 2011, he released the studio album ''cooking sum'' as a member of the Frank Castle Cooking Gang, through Bandcamp. On 27 July 2012, he independently released his first solo project, the ''selfish EP''. In May 2013, he signed with Four Music, through he released the EP ''futureshit'' on 12 July 2013. Splash! (festival)
Splash! is one of Europe's biggest hip hop and reggae festivals. It first took place in 1998, in the inner city of Chemnitz, Germany. The next year, the location of the festival changed to the Oberrabenstein reservoir near the city, where it remained through 2006. In 2007 and 2008, the festival was held on the Pouch peninsula in Bitterfeld. In 2009, the festival moved to the Ferropolis in Gräfenhainichen, which remains the official site. In the early years, there were two stages; one each for hip-hop and reggae. In 2006, the festival extended to six stages and four party tents. In addition to hip-hop and drum and bass DJs, the tents also house dancehall and reggae sound systems, a graffiti contest and ITF matches. The GfK Entertainment charts are the official music charts in Germany and are gathered and published by GfK Entertainment (formerly Media Control and Media Control GfK International), a subsidiary of GfK, on behalf of Bundesverband Musikindustrie. GfK Entertainment is the provider of weekly Top 100 single and album charts, as well as various other chart formats for genres like compilations, jazz, classical music, schlager, hip hop, dance, comedy, and music videos. Following a lawsuit in March 2014 by Media Control AG, Media Control® GfK International had to change its name.
