Lalchungnunga (born 25 December 2000) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a defender for Indian Super League club East Bengal and the India national team. Club career Aizawl Lalchungnunga joined Aizawl on 1 July 2019 from their U18 club. He made his first appearance on 30 January 2021, against NEROCA. He played four matches for the club in 2020–21. Sreenidi Deccan In August 2021, Sreenidi Deccan roped in Lalchungnunga, on a two-year deal with an option to extend by another year. 2022–23 East Bengal FC Season
The 2022–23 season was the 103rd season of East Bengal Football Club and their third season in the Indian Super League, the top flight of Indian football. The Indian football season started in August and ended in April. During the season, East Bengal competed in the Durand Cup and got eliminated in the group stage, they finished fourth in the Calcutta Football League, had a ninth-place finish in the Indian Super League and got eliminated in the group stage of the Super Cup. Mizoram
Mizoram () is a state in Northeast India, with Aizawl as its seat of government and capital city. 2021–22 I-League
The 2021–22 I-League (also known as Hero I-League for sponsorship reasons) is the 15th season of I-League, last as the top tier of Indian football league system, since its establishment in 2007. All the matches are hosted in a bio-secure bubble in West Bengal due to COVID-19 pandemic in India. Aizawl
Aizawl (; Mizo: ) is the capital of the state of Mizoram in India. Aizawl was officially established on 25 February 1890. With a population of 293,416, it is the largest city in the state. It is also the centre of administration containing all the important government offices, state assembly house and civil secretariat. 2019–20 I-League
The 2019–20 I-League (Officially known as Hero I-League, due to sponsorship reasons) was the 13th season of the I-League, one of the top Indian professional football leagues, since its establishment in 2007. A total of 11 teams competed in the league. Chennai City were the defending champions, having won the previous season. TRAU F.C. joined as a promoted club from the I-League 2nd Division.
