Lala Mountain
Lala Mountain (), also known as Daguan Mountain (), is a mountain in Taiwan, located at the junction of Fuxing District, Taoyuan City and Wulai District, New Taipei City, with an elevation of 2,031 meters (6,663 ft). Taoyuan City

New Taipei City
New Taipei City is a special municipality located in northern Taiwan. The city is home to an estimated population of 3,974,683 as of 2022, making it the most populous city of Taiwan, and also the second largest special municipality by area, behind Kaohsiung. Fuxing District, Taoyuan
Fuxing District ( Atayal: Pyasan; ), formerly known as Fuxing Township or Fu-Hsing Township () is a mountain indigenous district in eastern Taoyuan City, Taiwan. The main population is the Atayal people of the Taiwanese aborigines. Lalashan (拉拉山) is a major feature of Fuxing, and the Shimen Reservoir, formed by Shimen Dam, is a popular nearby site. Wulai District
Wulai District ( Atayal: Ulay; ) is a mountain indigenous district in southern New Taipei City in northern Taiwan. It sits near the border with Taipei and is famous for its hot springs. It is the largest district in New Taipei, as well as the most mountainous, and is home to the indigenous Atayal people. Name The name of the town derives from the Atayal phrase ''kilux ulay'' meaning "hot and poisonous" when an Atayal hunter hunting by a stream saw mist coming from the stream. Atayal Language
The Atayal language is spoken by the Atayal people of Taiwan. Squliq and C’uli’ (Ts’ole’) are two major dialects. Mayrinax and Pa’kuali’, two subdialects of C’uli’, are unique among Atayal dialects in having male and female register distinctions in their vocabulary. Atayal People
The Atayal (), also known as the Tayal and the Tayan, are a Taiwanese indigenous people. The Atayal people number around 90,000, approximately 15.9% of Taiwan's total indigenous population, making them the third-largest indigenous group. Ushinosuke Mori
Ushinosuke Mori (森 丑之助, January 16, 1877 – July 4, 1926) was a Japanese anthropologist and folklorist. He studied the aborigines of Taiwan. Early life Mori was born in Kyoto. Following his graduation from Kumamoto Chinese school, in 1895 Mori went to Taiwan as a Chinese language army interpreter during the First Sino-Japanese war. He had expressed his desire to contribute to Japanese scholarship by studying the peoples of Taiwan. Career For nine months in 1900, Mori participated in research as an interpreter and guide for anthropologist and University of Tokyo professor Ryuzo Torii, who was one of the first people to enter Taiwan after the Japanese took it over in 1895. From April 1908 to September 1910 he was commissioned to an old customs committee. By 1924, he was recorded as employed by the Governor-General of the National Taiwan Museum.
