Lake City Football Club (also known as Lake City) is an Indian professional football club based in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. They currently compete in Madhya Pradesh Premier League. They are the current champions of MPPL after winning the 2022–23 season. History Lake City Football Club, a club based out of Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh is founded in year 2022 by Jagran Lakecity University. They play theirs home matches in Jagran Lakecity University ground. In 2023, Lakecity was nominated by Madhya Pradesh Football Association for 2023–24 I-League 3 season as being the champions of Madhya Pradesh Premier League. Tatya Tope Nagar Sports Complex Bhopal is a multi-purposed stadium in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India. Directorate Sports & Youth Welfare is located at the stadium. The stadium is the base of Boxing Academy, Madhya Pradesh State Men's Hockey Academy, Madhya Pradesh State Equestrian Academy, Madhya Pradesh State Shooting Academy, Madhya Pradesh State Water Sports Academy and DSYW Academy. Stadium is one of the stadiums in Madhya Pradesh with a multi-purpose hall and an Olympic swimming pool among the facilities offered. Football, athletics, volleyball, hockey, basketball, badminton, cricket, handball, table tennis, taekwondo, and wrestling can be enjoyed here. I-League 3, or 3rd Division League, is a men's professional football league in India. It forms the fourth tier of the Indian football league system, below the I-League 2 and above the State leagues. History For the first time, the AIFF introduced Qualifiers for I-League 2 in the 2022–23 season. On 13 June 2023, the AIFF league committee announced introducing a new league below the I-League 2, where champions of State leagues and nominated clubs will play. The Madhya Pradesh Premier League is the top-tier state league in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. It is organised by Madhya Pradesh Football Association (MPFA). The inaugural season kicked off on 10 January 2021, with 8 teams competing for the maiden title.
