Lake Louise (Estrie)
The Lake Louise is a lake in Estrie located in the municipality of Weedon, in the Les Appalaches Regional County Municipality (MRC), in the administrative region of Chaudière-Appalaches, in Quebec, in Canada. Geography Lake Louise is located in the Saint-François River valley just upstream of the confluence with the rivière au Saumon. The Saint-François River is its main tributary and outlet; the lake is a widening of the river. The rivière aux Canards also flows into it. Les Appalaches ( ''Municipalité régionale de comté des Appalaches'') is a regional county municipality (RCM) in the Chaudière-Appalaches region in southeastern Quebec, Canada. It was established in 1982 from parts of the historic counties of Beauce, Frontenac, Mégantic, and Wolfe. The county seat and largest city is Thetford Mines. The name of the RCM is linked to its location in the Appalachian Mountains with Mounts Adstock, Caribou, Oak, and Saint-Adrien being the highest. Le Granit (''Granite'') is a regional county municipality in the Estrie region of eastern Quebec, Canada. Located directly south of Quebec City, it borders the region of Chaudière-Appalaches, as well as the US states of New Hampshire and Maine. It is named for its abundance of granite. Saint-François River
The Saint-François River is a right tributary of the St. Lawrence River in Quebec, Canada. Its source is Lake Saint-François in Chaudière-Appalaches, southeast of Thetford Mines. It flows southwest towards Sherbrooke, where it changes course northwest towards Drummondville, and finally empties into the Saint Lawrence River near Pierreville. Its total length is 135 miles. Estrie
Estrie () is an administrative region of Quebec that comprises the Eastern Townships. ''Estrie'', a French neologism, was coined as a derivative of ''est'', "east". Originally settled by anglophones, today it is about 90 per cent francophone. Anglophones are concentrated in Lennoxville, Quebec, Lennoxville, home of the region's only English-speaking university, Bishop's University. The Eastern Townships School Board runs 20 elementary schools, three high schools, and a learning centre. The region originally consisted of 6 RCM's. The Rat River is a tributary of the Saint-François River. The "Rat River" flows in the municipality of Weedon, in the Le Haut-Saint-François Regional County Municipality, in the region administrative Estrie, Quebec, Canada.
