Keweenaw County (, ; , ) is a county in the Upper Peninsula of the U.S. state of Michigan, the state's northernmost county. As of the 2020 United States Census, the population was 2,046, making it Michigan's least populous county. The Keweenaw Peninsula ( , sometimes locally ) is the northernmost part of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Lac La Belle is a lake in Grant Township, Keweenaw County, Michigan. The lake is surrounded by dense forest cover of the Keweenaw Peninsula. The bottom is mainly mud and it has a maximum depth of . The Little Gratiot River flows into the lake on the west shore and the lake empties through the Mendota Canal into Lake Superior. There is a state owned boat launch on the north side of the lake near the community of Lac La Belle. Haven Falls is a waterfall that is part of the Haven Creek.
