Lai King (constituency)
Lai King () is one of the 31 constituencies of the Kwai Tsing District Council in Hong Kong. The seat elects one member of the council every four years. It was first created in the 1994 elections. Its boundary is loosely based on part of Lai King Estate, Yin Lai Court and Yuet Lai Court in Lai King Lai King, or Lai King Hill, is the colloquial name for a residential area including a number of private housing and public housing estates, located on Mo Shek Shan (), east of Kwai Chung, New Territories, Hong Kong. 1991 Hong Kong Local Elections
The 1991 Hong Kong District Board elections were held on 3 March 1991. Elections were held in all 19 District Councils of Hong Kong, districts of Hong Kong for 274 members from directly elected constituencies, which counted for about two-thirds of the seats in the District Boards. It was the first of the three-tier elections in 1991, followed by the 1991 Hong Kong municipal elections, May Urban and Regional Council elections and the 1991 Hong Kong legislative election, September Legislative Council election in which direct elections would be introduced for the first time. United Democrats Of Hong Kong
The United Democrats of Hong Kong (; UDHK) was a short-lived political party in Hong Kong founded in 1990 as the united front of the liberal democracy forces in preparation of the 1991 first ever direct election for the Legislative Council of Hong Kong. It self-proclaimed as the first political party in Hong Kong. The party won a landslide victory by sweeping 12 of the 18 directly elected seats in the 1991 LegCo elections which shook the political landscape of Hong Kong. 2019 Hong Kong Local Elections
The 2019 Hong Kong District Council elections were held on 24 November 2019 for all 18 District Councils of Hong Kong. 452 seats from all directly elected constituencies, out of the 479 seats in total, were contested. Nearly three million people voted, equivalent to 71 per cent of registered voters, an unprecedented turnout in the electoral history of Hong Kong. The election was widely viewed as a ''de facto'' referendum on the 2019 widespread anti-extradition protests. DPHK
The Democratic Party (DP) is a centre-left liberal political party in Hong Kong. Chaired by Lo Kin-hei, it is the flagship party in the pro-democracy camp and currently has 7 elected representatives in the District Councils. Lai King
Lai King, or Lai King Hill, is the colloquial name for a residential area including a number of private housing and public housing estates, located on Mo Shek Shan (), east of Kwai Chung, New Territories, Hong Kong. It is centred on Lai King Estate, but also refers to nearby public estates, including Cho Yiu Chuen, Lai Yiu Estate, Wah Yuen Chuen, and Kau Wa Keng, and private estates, such as Wonderland Villas and Highland Park. Kwai Tsing District Council
The Kwai Tsing District Council () is the district council for the Kwai Tsing District in Hong Kong. It is one of 18 such councils. It currently consists of 32 members of which 31 are directly elected from the 31 constituencies of the district, one ex-officio member who is the Tsing Yi Rural Committee chairman. Lai King Estate () is a public housing estate in Lai King, Kwai Chung, New Territories, Hong Kong and is one of the oldest public housing estates in Kwai Tsing District. It is divided into two phases and consists of a total of eight residential buildings completed in 1975 (Phase 1), 1976 (Phase 2) and 2022 (Heng King House) respectively.
