Lahari Music
Lahari Recording Company is an Indian music company based in Bangalore. It owns a music label called "Lahari Music" also a film production company called "Lahari Films LLP". They later ventured into construction under the name of HomEquity India Private Limited brand. History The company was established in 1974 by Manohar Naidu with a seed capital of Rs.500. Over the last three decades it has acquired Premaloka in Kannada, Roja, Dalapathi in Tamil and Telugu and Malayalam languages. In addition to film songs, Lahari music also produces sugam sangeetha, folk, classical and devotional albums. In 2015, Lahari made a deal with major music distributor T-Series (company), T-Series which allowed T-Series to take over the role of marketing Lahari Music's entire catalogue on YouTube and television. Lakshmi Sharma
Lakshmi Sharma mononymously known as Lahari is an Indian actress. After debuting in Telugu cinema, where she failed to gain a foothold, she became an actress in Malayalam cinema, after entering the industry in 2006 with ''Palunku''. She has acted in few Kannada films as well. Career She hails from Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. She was born into a Brahmin family to a Telugu father and a Kannada mother. Her father worked in the Postal department and her mother at the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC). After her parents' retirement, the family settled in Hyderabad. She wanted to become an actress in the Telugu film industry and debuted in a supporting role in E. V. V. Satyanarayana's ''Ammo! Okato Tareekhu'' (2000). She went on to lead roles in the films ''Manamiddaram'' and ''Vacchina Vaadu Suryudu'', which failed, before she got a role in the Chiranjeevi film ''Indra'' (2002). Lahari Bandar, also called Lahori Bandar or Lari Bandar, was a historical port city in southern Sindh. From the early 1300s until the late 1600s, it was the main port in Sindh and one of the main ports in western India. Names According to Haig (1894), ''Lāhaṟī'' was the indigenous name used within Sindh, after the Lāhaṟ tribe that lived in that part of the delta, while ''Lāhorī'' was the name used outside Sindh, after its role as the port of Lahore. He connects it to the ''Lohāwar'' that al-Biruni uses for Lahore and says that it could have been Lohāwarānī, which would have been produced Lohārānī (the form used by al-Biruni) in common speech.
