El Bolsón, Río Negro
El Bolsón is a town in the southwest of Río Negro Province, Argentina, at the foot of the Piltriquitron Mountain. Due to a series of valleys through the mountains of Chile to the Pacific Ocean, El Bolsón has an unusually mild climate for its southern location. El Bolsón area's first non-indigenous inhabitants were Chilean farmers Lucas Cárdenas and Elcira Estrada, a couple who came in 1885 from San Pablo, near Osorno, and established themselves in the then known as "Valle Nuevo" (New Valley); in 2018 El Bolsón inaugurated the new Public Clock Square after the couple's names. The Lago Puelo National Park ( es, Parque Nacional Lago Puelo) is a national park of Argentina, located in the northwest of the province of Chubut, in the Patagonia region of South America. Originally an annex to Los Alerces, it was declared a National Park and independent reserve in 1971. Lake Puelo ( es, Lago Puelo) is a lake located in the northern part of Chubut Province, in Argentine Patagonia. Of fluvial-glacial origin, its deepest point is 180 meters. The narrow L-shaped lake is surrounded by Lago Puelo National Park. The lake is fed by the small rivers, ''Azul'' and ''Quemquemtreu''. The outflow from Puelo Lake is the Puelo River which flows to the Pacific Ocean through Chile. The river emerges from the lake at the border with Chile, flows through a narrow turbulent passage called Arroyo los Hitos about long and into Lake Puelo Inferior (Lower Puelo Lake), entirely in Chile.
