Ladysmead
Tiverton Town Football Club are an English football club based in Tiverton, Devon. The club are currently members of the and play at Ladysmead. History The club was established in 1913 as Tiverton Athletic, and initially played at the Athletic Ground. They joined the East Devon League, winning the Senior Division in 1924–25, 1925–26, 1926–27 and 1927–28. They then joined the North Devon League, winning it in 1931–32, after which they transferred to the Exeter & District League, which they won in 1933–34. In 1951–52 the club won the league's Senior Division, and in 1956 won the Devon Senior Cup for the first time. They won the league again in 1964–65 and 1965–66, a season in which they also won the Senior Cup for a second time. In 1973 the club joined the Western League. Martyn Rogers
Martyn Rogers (born 7 March 1955) is an English former professional footballer who played as a defender and now as a manager for Tiverton Town. Career Rogers was born in Bristol. His playing career included spells at Exeter City and Bristol City. In 1992, he was appointed player-manager of non-league Tiverton Town where he remained as manager until 21 May 2010 having tendered his resignation on 18 May 2010. Earlier in 2010, he met Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson as part of the celebrations surrounding his 1,000th game in charge of Tiverton - a feat shared by Ferguson. On 15 June 2010, it was announced that newly promoted Premier League side Blackpool would visit Ladysmead to celebrate Rogers 20 years in charge. A team selected by Rogers will face Ian Holloway's strongest eleven, and will be the first game they play as a Premier League side. The Southern League is a men's football competition featuring semi-professional clubs from the South and Midlands of England. Together with the Isthmian League and the Northern Premier League it forms levels seven and eight of the English football league system. Tom Purrington
Tom Purrington (born 24 October 2000) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Plymouth Parkway. Career Purrington made his professional debut on 13 November 2018 in an EFL Trophy match between Argyle and EFL League Two side Newport County, where he came on as an 81st-minute substitute, replacing Stuart O'Keefe. Niall Joseph Israel Thompson (born 3 September 1993) is an English professional footballer who is currently at Tiverton Town FC after leaving Truro City in July 2022 and previously played at Torquay United until January 2015. He plays as a winger, but his versatility has seen him more recently act as a wing-back. Tiverton ( ) is a town and civil parish in Devon, England, and the commercial and administrative centre of the Mid Devon district. The population in 2019 was 20,587. History Early history The town's name is conjectured to derive from "Twy-ford-ton" or "Twyverton", meaning "the town on two fords", and was historically referred to as "Twyford". Craig Alcock (born 8 December 1987) is an former English professional footballer who recently played as a defender for club Harlow Town. Having begun his career at Yeovil Town he spent time on loan at Weston-super-Mare, Taunton Town and Tiverton Town before moving to Peterborough United. Patrick Kwame Ampadu (born 20 December 1970) is an Irish former footballer who played as a midfielder.
