Patapédia River
The Patapédia River (French: ''Rivière Patapédia'') is a tributary of the Restigouche River in Northwest New Brunswick and Southeast Quebec, in Canada. The course of river in Quebec (upper segment) has its beginnings the Matapédia Valley in the regional county municipality of La Mitis of the Gaspé Peninsula, in the administrative region of Gaspésie-Îles-de-la-Madeleine, while its end forms the natural provincial border between Quebec and New Brunswick before flowing into the Restigouche River at the "Million Dollar Pool". Also known as the Patapédia Pool, the deep, cold reservoir gets its name from the abundance of salmon that gather there every season. Saint-Quentin Parish, New Brunswick
Saint-Quentin is a civil parish in Restigouche County, New Brunswick, Canada. For governance purposes it is divided between the town of Saint-Quentin, the incorporated rural community of Kedgwick, and the Northwest rural district, both members of the Northwest Rural Service Commission. Before the 2023 governance reform, the parish was divided between a much smaller town of Saint-Quentin and local service districts of St. Martin de Restigouche and the parish of Saint-Quentin. In the reform, St. Martin de Restigouche was annexed by Saint-Quentin while the parish LSD was divided by the town, rural community, and rural district. East Patapédia River
The East Patapédia River runs in the unorganized territory of Lac-des-Eaux-Mortes, Quebec, in La Matapedia Regional County Municipality (RCM), in the administrative region of Bas-Saint-Laurent, in Quebec, in Canada. This stream flows in the forest zone to the southeast. The upper part of the valley is an extension to the south of the Lake Mitis valley. A segment of south of the hamlet "30 Miles" is the eastern boundary of the Zec du Bas-Saint-Laurent. East Patapedia River flows on the north bank of the Patapédia River which flows southeast to the west bank of the Restigouche River. The latter, in turn, flows east to the west bank of the Chaleur Bay which opens to the east on the Gulf of Saint Lawrence.
