Polypodium Polypodioides
''Pleopeltis polypodioides'' (syn. ''Polypodium polypodioides''), also known as the resurrection fern, is a species of creeping, coarse-textured fern native to the Americas and Africa. Description The evergreen fronds of this fern are 25 cm high by 5 cm wide and monomorphic. The leathery, yellow-green pinnae (leaflets) are deeply pinnatifid, oblong to narrowly lanceolate, usually widest near middle, occasionally at or near base. It attaches to the limbs of its host plant with a branching, creeping, slender rhizome, which grows to 2 mm in diameter. The scales are lanceolate, with light brown base and margins, and having a dark central stripe. The gametophytes (the haploid gamete producers) of this plant develop from very small spores that float in the air and are deposited on moist tree branches. These spores are produced in sporangia that develop on the leaves of the fern's sporophyte. The fern can also reproduce by the division of its rhizomes. On the underside ...

Philodendron Panduriforme
''Philodendron'' is a large genus of flowering plants in the family Araceae. , the World Checklist of Selected Plant Families accepted 489 species; other sources accept different numbers. Regardless of number of species, the genus is the second-largest member of the family Araceae, after genus ''Anthurium''. Taxonomically, the genus ''Philodendron'' is still poorly known, with many undescribed species. Many are grown as ornamental and indoor plants. The name derives from the Greek words ''philo-'' or "love, affection" and ''dendron'' or "tree". The generic name, ''Philodendron'', is often used as the English name. Description Growth habit Compared to other genera of the family Araceae, philodendrons have an extremely diverse array of growth methods. The habits of growth can be epiphytic, hemiepiphytic, or rarely terrestrial. Others can show a combination of these growth habits depending on the environment. Hemiepiphytic philodendrons can be classified into two types: primary a ...

Heliconia Angusta
''Heliconia angusta'' Vell. ( syn.: ''Heliconia agustifolia'' Hook., ''Heliconia bicolor'' Benth., ''Heliconia brasiliensis'' Hook.), of family Heliconiaceae is an erect herb typically growing 0.70 m tall, native to Brazil (South America). General ''Heliconia angusta'' is commonly called the Christmas heliconia because its red and white inflorescences usually emerge during the Christmas period. Wild populations, native to southeastern Brazil, are classified as vulnerable by the World Conservation Union largely due to the conversion of their diminishing habitats for agricultural purposes. However, the genetic diversity of wild populations has, at least in part, been preserved by the ex-situ cultivation of ''Heliconia angusta''. The popularity of ''Heliconia angusta'' as a tropical garden plant and horticultural specimen has encouraged widespread propagation of this species by commercial nurseries and botanical gardens.1 Uses It is a popular ornamental plant Ornamental plants ...
