LaBrassBanda
LaBrassBanda is a Bavarian brass band originating from Ãœbersee, near Chiemsee, Bavaria, Germany. The name of the band is a portmanteau of the Italian words "la banda" and the English term "brass band", both meaning the same. History of the band The band was founded 2007 by Stefan Dettl, Andreas Hofmeir, Manuel Winbeck, Oliver Wrage, and Manuel da Coll. The five musicians got to know each other during their music studies. Stefan Dettl was inspired by the Youngblood Brass Band which he met at his New York City trip. Dettl was inspired by their combination of Brass music and Hip-Hop and R&B vibes. The first concert of LaBrassBanda was in London. During the European football championship in 2008 the band played concerts on their trailer at different fan miles. The biggest gig they had was in Vienna at the final. They also played at the 'Bavaria Open' in Munich. Southside Festival
The Southside Festival (simply known as Southside) is an annual music festival that takes place near Tuttlingen, Germany, usually every June. The festival as well as its artists and audiences are generally associated within the alternative part of popular music. The Hurricane Festival, often referred to as the "sister" of Southside, takes place on the same three days in the very north of Germany (contrary to Southside, which is in the very south). Hurricane Festival
The Hurricane Festival, also just Hurricane, is a music festival that has taken place at the Eichenring, a speedway race track, in Scheeßel, Germany, since 1997. With more than 80,000 attendees (2022) it is one of the largest music festivals in Germany. Southside Festival, often referred to as Hurricane's "sister" festival, takes place on the same three days and has largely the same line-up. Alongside Southside Festival, Hurricane festival is organised by FKP Konzertproduktionen, MCT Agentur and KoKo Konstanz and takes place every June. Germany In The Eurovision Song Contest 2013
Germany participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 with the song " Glorious" written by Yann Peifer, Manuel Reuter, Andres Ballinas and Tony Cornelissen. The song was performed by Cascada. The German entry for the 2013 contest in Malmö, Sweden was selected through the national final ''Unser Song für Malmö'', organised by the German broadcaster ARD in collaboration with Norddeutscher Rundfunk (NDR). The national final took place on 14 February 2013 and featured twelve competing acts with the winner by the votes of a five-member jury panel, a radio vote and a public televote. "Glorious" performed by Cascada was selected as the German entry for Malmö after gaining the most points following the combination of votes. As a member of the " Big Five", Germany automatically qualified to compete in the final of the Eurovision Song Contest. Übersee is a municipality in the rural district of Traunstein in upper Bavaria, Germany. It lies on the south shore of lake Chiemsee. Geography Geographic Location Übersee is located in the Chiemgau, more precisely at the northern entrance to the Achental (Achen Valley), the valley of the river Tiroler Achen which has its origin in Tyrol, Austria. Said river also marks most of the eastern border between Übersee and Grabenstätt, before flowing into lake Chiemsee. The area around the river mouth belongs to Übersee and is a recreational breeding area for local bird species. The village lies mostly on flat land, with the only major elevation being the Westerbuchberg, one of the southernmost parts of Übersee.
