LIV Golf Invitational Chicago
The LIV Golf Chicago is a professional golf tournament held at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove, Illinois, outside of Chicago. The inaugural event was held in September 2022 as part of the LIV Golf Invitational Series, a golf series led by Greg Norman and funded by the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund. The 48-player field featured several former major championship including Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka, Bryson DeChambeau, Charl Schwartzel, Patrick Reed and Sergio García, and was won by 2022 Open champion Cameron Smith. Format The tournament was a 54-hole individual stroke play event, with a team element. Four-man teams were announced on the Monday before the tournament, with a set number of their total scores counting for the team on each day. Each round commenced with a shotgun start, with the leaders beginning on the first hole for the final round, in order to finish on the eighteenth. Sugar Grove is a village in Kane County, Illinois, United States. The population at the 2010 census was 8,997, and in 2018 the estimated population was 9,803. Patrick Nathaniel Reed (born August 5, 1990) is an American professional golfer. He has nine tournament victories on the PGA Tour, including one major championship, the 2018 Masters Tournament, and two World Golf Championships, the 2014 WGC-Cadillac Championship and 2020 WGC-Mexico Championship. Matthew Paul Jones (born 19 April 1980) is an Australian professional golfer who plays on LIV Golf. Previously he played on the PGA Tour where he won twice, in the 2014 Shell Houston Open and The Honda Classic in 2021. Jones has also won the Emirates Australian Open twice, in 2015 and 2019. Sam Horsfield
Sam Horsfield (born 8 October 1996) is an English professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. Amateur career Horsfield has lived in the United States since he was five years old. He was selected for the 2015 Walker Cup at Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Club but withdrew two weeks before the event. Branden John Grace (born 20 May 1988) is a professional golfer from South Africa who currently plays for LIV Golf. He formerly played on the European Tour, the PGA Tour, and the Sunshine Tour. Richard Bland (born 3 February 1973) is an English professional golfer. Career Bland was born in Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire.
