Kundang Ulu
Kundang or Pengkalan Kundang is an area in Gombak District, Selangor, Malaysia. Kundang is used to be agricultural village. But now, it is one of the modern villages in the state with its own highway, LATAR. Bandar Tasik Puteri, Pekan Kundang, Bandar Rawang is the nearest town from the village. Farming and related activities constitute the core economic drivers of this pastoral village. It comes under Selayang Parliament constituency, and falls into the jurisdiction of Majlis Perbandaran Selayang (MPS). Origin of name The Kundang name origin comes from Sungai Kundang (Kundang River). Gombak District
The Gombak District is an administrative district located in the state of Selangor, Malaysia. The district was created on February 1, 1974, the same day when Kuala Lumpur was declared a Federal Territory. Until 1997, Rawang was the district capital; the capital has been moved to Bandar Baru Selayang. Gombak borders Kuala Lumpur to the southeast and the Genting Highlands to the east. Both Gombak and Kuala Lumpur, along with some other districts in Selangor, are situated within the Klang Valley. Other localities that are situated in Gombak district include Batu Arang, Kuang, Rawang, Kundang, Gombak Town, Selayang, Batu Caves and Hulu Kelang. Bandar Tasik Puteri ( zh, 万挠公主城) (est. population 70,000) is a township area near Batu Arang, Selangor, Malaysia. Demographics As of 2013 it is estimated that there are 60,000 people residing in Bandar Tasik Puteri. The primary residents appear to be Malay followed by Chinese and Indian. Bouea Macrophylla
''Bouea macrophylla'', commonly known as gandaria or plum mango or mango plum in English, is a species of flowering plant native to Southeast Asia. The tree belongs to the family Anacardiaceae which also includes mango and cashew. Description The evergreen tree grows to heights of 25 meters. Its leaves are lanceolate to elliptic in shape (see: Leaf shape), and range from 13 to 45 cm (5 to 17 inches) long and from 5 to 7 cm (2 to 3 inches) wide. The fruit (resembling a mango) are green in colour and mature to an orange/yellow, with the seed being pink. They grow to roughly 2 to 5 cm (0.7 to 1.9 inches) in diameter. The entire fruit, including its skin is edible. The fruit range from sweet to sour in flavor similar to the Alphonso mango, and have a light smell of turpentine. Tasik Biru Seri Kundang
Tasik Biru Seri Kundang is a recreational lake located at Kampung Melayu Sri Kundang, Rawang, Selangor, Malaysia, a village near to Sungai Buloh. It is an ex-mining lake that used to be developed long time ago during the British colonial time. During its olden days, the lake was used to be the biggest mining area in Rawang district, and one of the biggest in Selangor as well. It is about 25 km to the north from Kuala Lumpur. After the colonial time, Tasik Biru is set to be a water sports and recreation centre for the local and foreign tourists.
