Krzysztof Gawedzki
Krzysztof Gawędzki (Polish pronunciation: ; born 2 July 1947 – died 21 January 2022) was a Polish mathematical physicist, a graduate of the University of Warsaw and professor at the École normale supérieure de Lyon (ENS de Lyon). He was primarily known for his research on quantum field theory and statistical physics. In 2022, he shared the Dannie Heineman Prize for Mathematical Physics with Antti Kupiainen. Education and career Born in Poland, Gawędzki received in 1971 his doctorate from the University of Warsaw. His doctoral dissertation ''Functional theory of geodesic fields'' was supervised by Krzysztof Maurin (1923–2017). In the 1980s Gawędzki did research at CNRS at the IHES near Paris. Since the 1990s, he was a professor at the École normale supérieure de Lyon (ENS de Lyon), and later an emeritus researcher there. Żarki
Żarki (german: Zarki) is a town in Myszków County, Silesian Voivodeship, Poland, with 4,556 inhabitants (2019). The history of Żarki dates back to the early 14th century, as the village was first mentioned in documents from the 1320s. Institute For Advanced Study
The Institute for Advanced Study (IAS), located in Princeton, New Jersey, in the United States, is an independent center for theoretical research and intellectual inquiry. It has served as the academic home of internationally preeminent scholars, including J. Turbulence
In fluid dynamics, turbulence or turbulent flow is fluid motion characterized by chaotic changes in pressure and flow velocity. It is in contrast to a laminar flow, which occurs when a fluid flows in parallel layers, with no disruption between those layers. In theoretical physics in general and string theory in particular, the Kalb–Ramond field (named after Michael Kalb and Pierre Ramond), also known as the Kalb–Ramond ''B''-field or Kalb–Ramond NS–NS ''B''-field, is a quantum field that transforms as a two- form, i.e., an antisymmetric tensor field with two indices. Vincent Rivasseau
Vincent Rivasseau (born 5 December 1955 in Talence) is a French mathematical physicist. Rivasseau studied from 1974 to 1978 at the École Normale Supérieure and then in 1978/79 at Princeton University with Arthur Wightman as advisor. In 1979 he got his PhD (Thèse de troisième cycle, Sommations et Estimations d'amplitudes de Feynman), at the Pierre and Marie Curie University, followed by the Thèse d'État (1982, Développements asymptotiques et méthodes graphiques en physique mathématique). Joel Shalom Feldman (born 14 June 1949, in Ottawa) is a Canadian mathematical physicist and mathematician. Feldman studied mathematics and physics at the University of Toronto with bachelor's degree in 1970 and at Harvard University with master's degree in 1971 and with PhD in 1974 under Arthur Jaffe with thesis ''The \lambda \cdot ^_ field theory in a finite volume''. In 1974–1975 he did research at Harvard on constructive quantum field theory and was from 1975 to 1977 a Moore Instructor at MIT.
