Kot Chutta
Kot Chutta ( ur, ) is a tehsil administrative subdivision of Dera Ghazi Khan District in the Punjab Province of Pakistan. Kot Chutta is situated off the Indus Highway. The area is known for its fertile agricultural land and for the production of various crops. Its major union councils are Choti Zaireen, Jhoke Uttra, Basti Malana and Jhakkar Imam sharif. Languages spoken are Saraiki, Balochi, Urdu and Pashto. 90% of the area's population is Saraiki speaking. History It was founded in the 17th century same time when Ghazi Khan Mirani invaded Dera Ghazi Khan. This city was founded by Sardar Chutta Khan Gurmani who was the head of Gurmani Baloch tribe. Tehsil
A tehsil (, also known as tahsil, taluka, or taluk) is a local unit of administrative division in some countries of South Asia. It is a subdistrict of the area within a district including the designated populated place that serves as its administrative centre, with possible additional towns, and usually a number of villages. Indus Highway
The Indus Highway ( ur, ), also known as National Highway 55 (N-55) ( ur, ), is a 1264 km long two to four-lane national highway that runs along the Indus River in Pakistan connecting the port city of Karachi with the northwestern city of Peshawar via Dera Ghazi Khan. It is part of Pakistan's National Highways network and is maintained and operated by Pakistan's National Highway Authority. The Indus Highway passes through the Kohat Tunnel. History In 1980, the Indus Highway was proposed to provide an alternative and shorter route to the heavily used N-5 and to also aid the development of western Sindh province and eastern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Dera Ghazi Khan
Dera Ghazi Khan (), abbreviated as D.G. Khan, is a city in the southwestern part of Punjab, Pakistan. It is the 19th largest city of Pakistan by population. Lying west of the Indus River, it is the headquarters of Dera Ghazi Khan District and Dera Ghazi Khan Division. History Foundation Dera Ghazi Khan was founded in the end of 15th century when Baloch people were invited to settle the region by Shah Husayn, of the Langah Sultanate of Multan, and was named after Ghazi Khan Mirrani, son of Haji Khan Mirrani who was a Baloch chieftain. Pashto
Pashto (,; , ) is an Eastern Iranian language in the Indo-European language family. It is known in historical Persian literature as Afghani (). Balochi Language
Balochi or Baluchi () is an Iranian language spoken primarily in the Balochistan region of Pakistan, Iran and Afghanistan. In addition, there are speakers in Oman, the Arab states of the Persian Gulf, Turkmenistan, East Africa and in diaspora communities in other parts of the world. Saraiki Language
Saraiki ( '; also spelt Siraiki, or Seraiki) is an Indo-Aryan language of the Lahnda group, spoken by 26 million people primarily in the south-western half of the province of Punjab in Pakistan. It was previously known as Multani, after its main dialect. Saraiki has partial mutual intelligibility with Standard Punjabi, and it shares with it a large portion of its vocabulary and morphology. At the same time in its phonology it is radically different (particularly in the lack of tones, the preservation of the voiced aspirates and the development of implosive consonants), and has important grammatical features in common with the Sindhi language spoken to the south.
