Korean Catholic Bible
The Korean Catholic Bible (Korean: 한국 가톨릭 성경, ''Hangug Gatollig Seonggyeong''), or Holy Bible (Korean: 성경, ''Seong-gyeong''), is the Korean language Bible used by Korean Catholics. This version is the standard Bible for the Roman Catholic Church in Korea since 2005, replacing the Common Translation Bible. History In 1988, the New Bible Translation Project was constituted by the Catholic Bishop’s Conference of Korea. The new translation begun in 1989 and completed in late 2002. The Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia, abbreviated as BHS or rarely BH4, is an edition of the Masoretic Text of the Hebrew Bible as preserved in the Leningrad Codex, and supplemented by masoretic and text-critical notes. It is the fourth edition in the Biblia Hebraica (Kittel), Biblia Hebraica series started by Rudolf Kittel and is published by the Deutsche Bibelgesellschaft (German Bible Society) in Stuttgart.
