Kongos (band)
Kongos (often styled as KONGOS) is a South African American band, now based in Austin, Texas. The alternative rock group consists of four brothers: Dylan (vocals, bass guitar, guitar), Johnny (accordion, keyboards, vocals), Jesse (drums, percussion, vocals) and Daniel Kongos (guitar, vocals). Beginnings They spent their childhoods in the city of East London, South Africa. They compose, record and perform in Austin, Texas. They graduated from Chaparral High School in Scottsdale, Arizona and attended Arizona State University. The four men are the sons of recording artist John Kongos. They are of Greek, American and Mexican origin and have attended the Greek Saheti school in Gauteng, South Africa. The 2014 Extreme Rules was the sixth annual Extreme Rules professional wrestling pay-per-view and livestreaming event produced by WWE. It took place on May 4, 2014, at the Izod Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey, and was the first Extreme Rules event to air on the WWE Network, which launched in February. The concept of Extreme Rules is that the event features various hardcore-based matches. Eight professional wrestling matches were contested at the event, including one on the Kickoff pre-show. MK (channel)
MK was a mostly Afrikaans music channel, launched in mid-2005, as MK89, that is part of the DStv bouquet of satellite channels owned by MultiChoice/M-Net, based in South Africa. MK is for ''Musiek Kanaal'' (Music Channel) and 89 was the original channel number on DStv satellite decoders. When the channel number was changed to 324, the channel was renamed to MK. At the end of July 2013 DSTV cancelled the channel and opted to move it to its audio bouquet due to lack of viewers. MK maintained an active online presence on their YouTube Channel, Facebook Page and Website. Even though the channel does not feature exclusively Afrikaans music, it has seen a tremendous boost for the resurging Afrikaans music scene, especially "indie" type of music. SABC 3 (stylised as S3) is a South African free-to-air public television network owned by the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC). It carries programming in English and, few in other South African languages. It has a number of its own reality and talk shows and had lately introduced a new series called “The Estate”. Tuks FM is the radio station of the University of Pretoria and one of South Africa's community broadcasters. It was one of the first community broadcasters in South Africa to be given an FM licence. Previously renowned for its alternative rock music offering, the station underwent a musical transformation, where its playlist was changed to reflect the student population. Tuks FM is a volunteer, campus station, meaning that it is completely operated by students, save for upper management.
