Knyazhevsko is a village in Southern Bulgaria, located in Stara Zagora Province, Opan Municipality. As of the June 2020 Bulgarian Census, Knyazhevsko has a population count of 128 inhabitants. Geography The village is located 14 kilometers away from Galabovo and 28 kilometers away from the regional center Stara Zagora. The village is at elevation between 100 and 199 meters above sea level. History and culture The former names of the village used to be "Pishmana", "Tsaritsa Yoana", and "Razkayanie". It bears its current name Knyazhevsko since 1980. It was named after Zahari Knyazhevski. Southern Bulgaria ( bg, Южна България, ''Yuzhna Balgariya'') is the southern half of the territory of Bulgaria, located to the south of the main ridge of the Balkan Mountains which conventionally separates the country into a northern and a southern part. Stara Zagora ( bg, Стара Загора, ) is the sixth-largest city in Bulgaria, and the administrative capital of the homonymous Stara Zagora Province.
