Kinn Municipality
Kinn is a municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It was established on 1 January 2020. It is in the traditional districts of Nordfjord and Sunnfjord. The municipality is the only non-contiguous municipality in Norway since the municipality of Bremanger lies in between the north and south parts of Kinn. The administrative centres of the municipality is the two cities of Florø and Måløy. Some villages in the municipality include Rognaldsvåg, Stavang, Grov, Norddalsfjord, Nyttingnes, Steinhovden, Brandsøy, Deknepollen, Holvika, Kvalheim, Langeneset, Raudeberg, Refvika, Silda, Tennebø, Vedvika, and Vågsvåg. Historically, there was another municipality of Kinn in Norway that existed from 1838 until 1964. The "old" Kinn roughly corresponded to the southern part of the "new" municipality of Kinn. Nordfjord
Nordfjord ( en, Northern fjord—in contrast to Sunnfjord) is a traditional district of Norway. Geography The region is located in the northern part of Vestland county in Western Norway. It centers on the Nordfjorden and it comprises the municipalities of Selje, Vågsøy, Bremanger, Eid, Gloppen, Hornindal, and Stryn. The Nordfjord region covers an area of about and is home to a population (2010) of approximately 32,464. The fjord is the sixth longest in Norway stretching from the island of Husevågøy at the mouth to the village of Loen at the other end. Nyttingnes
Nyttingnes is a hamlet with 28 inhabitants and 9 houses in the municipality of Kinn in Vestland county, Norway. Nyttingnes is located northwest of the village of Steinhovden and about across the fjord from the village of Brandsøy. Kinn (former Municipality)
Kinn is a former municipality in the Sunnfjord district of Sogn og Fjordane county, Norway. The parish of Kinn has existed for centuries and in 1838, the large parish was established as a municipality that existed from then until 1964. The municipality was centered around the island of Kinn where the main Kinn Church is located. The municipality encompassed most of the southern part of the present-day municipality of Kinn (same name, different borders) as well as parts of Askvoll (in the south) and the southwestern part of Bremanger (in the north). Tennebø
Tennebø is a village in Kinn Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It is a suburb of the town of Måløy, the centre of which is located about away. Silda (Sogn Og Fjordane)
Silda is an island in Kinn Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The island is located northeast of the large island of Vågsøy in the Sildagapet bay and about west of the island of Barmøya. Silda sits about east of the small village of Langenes and about northeast of Raudeberg, both on the island of Vågsøy. This island is the site of the 1810 Battle of Silda. In 2014, there were 12 inhabitants on the island, which is only accessible by boat. Refvik or Refvika is a village in Kinn Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It is located on the north side of the island of Vågsøy, about northwest of the village of Raudeberg, south of Vedvika, and southwest of Langenes. Raudeberg is a village in Kinn Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It is located on the east side of the island of Vågsøy. Kvalheim is a coastal village with large agricultural areas in Kinn Municipality in Vestland county, Norway.
