Khyber Girls Medical College
Khyber Girls Medical College ( ur, , ps, د خیبر ښځو طب پوهنځی) (KGMC) is the first public sector medical college for girls in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa which came into existence in May 2004 as a female Campus of KMC Peshawar. It was declared as an independent college in December 2005, and is recognized by Pakistan Medical & Dental Council in December 2008. History Initially this project was launched in the name 'Girl campus of Khyber Medical College' with the first batch of 50 students during the academic session 2004-05. Later, the then Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Akram Khan Durrani announced the conversion of 'Girls campus of KMC Peshawar' as an independent medical college with the name of 'Khyber Girls Medical College' with effect from 8 December 2005. Hayatabad
Hayatabad is a suburb on the western outskirts of Peshawar, the capital of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. It borders the now defunct Tribal Areas and is close to Torkham, which is the major border crossing point between Pakistan and Afghanistan. The suburb is home to several of Peshawar's educational and health institutions. Hayatabad is named after Hayat Sherpao, a Pakistani Pashtun politician. Geography Hayatabad was developed as a residential area near Peshawar in the late 1970s. Primarily residential, it also contains an Industrial Estate. Khyber Medical College ( ur, , abbreviated as KMC) was established in 1954, is a public sector medical college located in Peshawar. Khyber Medical College is the oldest medical college of the province, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and is considered as one of the most prestigious medical colleges of Pakistan. Akram Khan Durrani
Akram Khan Durrani ( ur, اکرم خان درانی, ps, اکرم خان دراني; born 2 March 1960) is a Pakistani politician who is the current Leader of the Opposition in the Provincial Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in office since 2 October 2018. He previously served as the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from 2002 to 2007. He served as Federal Minister for Housing and Works, in the Abbasi cabinet from August 2017 to May 2018 and as the Federal Minister for Housing and Works in the third Sharif ministry from June 2013 to July 2017. He was a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan from June 2013 to May 2018 from NA-26 (Bannu). Early life Durrani was born on 2 March 1960.
