Kenny McBain
Kenny McBain (28 July 1946 – 22 April 1989), was a Scottish TV director and producer. He was producer of ''Inspector Morse'', ''Boon'' and ''Grange Hill''. His directorial credits include the ''Doctor Who'' story ''The Horns of Nimon'' (1979), episodes of ''Coronation Street'' and the '' Omega Factor'' episode ''Double Vision''. ''Inspector Morse'' is a British crime drama, detective drama television series based on a series of novels by Colin Dexter. It starred John Thaw as Inspector Morse, Detective Chief Inspector Morse and Kevin Whately as Inspector Lewis, Sergeant Lewis. The series comprises 33 two-hour episodes (100 minutes excluding commercials) produced between 1987 and 2000. Dexter made uncredited cameo appearances in all but three of the episodes. Boon (TV Series)
''Boon'' is a British television drama starring Michael Elphick, David Daker, and later Neil Morrissey. It was created by Jim Hill and Bill Stair and filmed by Central Television for ITV, and was originally broadcast between 1986 and 1995. It revolved around the life of an ex-fireman called Ken Boon. - a motorcycle-obsessed small time businessman who at the same time acts as a private investigator, bodyguard and general troubleshooter. Since 16 January 2017 it has been rerun on UKTV channel Drama. The show was memorable for its theme tune - Hi Ho Silver by Scottish singer Jim Diamond, which became a major UK top ten hit single in 1986. ''The Horns of Nimon'' is the fifth and final broadcast serial of the 17th season of the British science fiction television series ''Doctor Who'', which was first broadcast in four weekly parts on BBC1 from 22 December 1979 to 12 January 1980. It is the last broadcast of David Brierley's voice as K9 (as John Leeson returned in the next season). The serial is set on the planets Skonnos and Crinoth. Hutchesons' Grammar School
Hutchesons' Grammar School is a co-educational independent day school for pupils aged 3-18 in Glasgow, Scotland. It was founded as Hutchesons' Boys' Grammar School by George Hutcheson and Thomas Hutcheson in 1641 It is a selective school, meaning prospective pupils must sit an entrance test to gain admission. The Boys' and Girls' schools amalgamated in 1976, at the grounds where the Boys' school had moved to almost two decades prior to form the current senior school.
