Keith Donohue (cricketer)
Keith Donohue (born 11 October 1963) is an English cricketer. Donohue is a right-handed batsman who bowled right-arm medium-fast. He was born in Chatham, Kent. Donohue made his debut for Devon in the 1985 Minor Counties Championship against Cornwall, in doing so beginning a 15-year playing career with the county. From 1985 to 2000, he represented the county in 88 Championship matches, the last of which came against Cheshire. He made his MCCA Knockout Trophy debut for the county in 1986 against Cornwall. From 1986 to 2000, he represented the county in 34 Trophy matches, the last of which came against Cornwall. During this playing career with Devon, he won two Minor Counties Championships and three MCCA Knockout Trophy's. He played List A cricket for Devon at a time when they were permitted to take part in the domestic one-day competition, making his debut in that format in the 1986 NatWest Trophy against Nottinghamshire. Chatham, Kent
Chatham ( ) is a town located within the Medway unitary authority in the ceremonial county of Kent, England. The town forms a conurbation with neighbouring towns Gillingham, Rochester, Strood and Rainham. The town developed around Chatham Dockyard and several Army barracks, together with 19th-century forts which provided a defensive shield for the dockyard. The Corps of Royal Engineers is still based in Chatham at Brompton Barracks. The Dockyard closed in 1984, but the remaining major naval buildings are an attraction for a flourishing tourist industry. 2000 NatWest Trophy
The 2000 NatWest Trophy was the 20th and last NatWest Trophy before being renamed as the Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy for the 2001 season. It was an English limited overs county cricket tournament which was held between 2 May and 26 August 2000. The tournament was won by Gloucestershire who defeated Warwickshire by 22 runs in the final at Lord's. Format The 18 first-class counties, were joined by all twenty Minor Counties, plus Huntingdonshire. The Tolchards Devon Cricket League is the top level of competition for recreational club cricket in Devon, England, and the League Headquarters is in Little Torrington, Devon. The league was founded in 1972, and since 2000 it has been a designated ECB Premier League. The league consists of a Premier division of 10 teams, and 14 feeder divisions lettered A-H, regionalised to East and West in the C-H divisions. Prior to the 2013 season, it was possible to obtain a draw in a game if the side batting second was not bowled out, but since then each innings in a match is limited to a number of overs (which varies depending on the division) and the team with the higher total from their allotted overs wins. Plympton Cricket Club
Plympton is a suburb of the city of Plymouth in Devon, England. It is in origin an ancient stannary town. Essex County Cricket Club is one of eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Essex. In cricket, a player's bowling average is the number of runs they have conceded per wicket taken. The lower the bowling average is, the better the bowler is performing. It is one of a number of statistics used to compare bowlers, commonly used alongside the economy rate and the strike rate to judge the overall performance of a bowler. When a bowler has taken only a small number of wickets, their bowling average can be artificially high or low, and unstable, with further wickets taken or runs conceded resulting in large changes to their bowling average.
