Kazakhstan Super League
The Kazakhstan Professional Football League ( kk, Қазақстан Премьер Лигасы, ''Qazaqstan Premer Ligasy''), commonly referred to as Kazakh Premier League or simply Premier League, is the top division of football in Kazakhstan. The League is controlled by the Football Federation of Kazakhstan and was set up in 1992. The League is fed into by the First Division and starts in spring and finishes in late autumn because of the low temperatures in the winter, with each championship corresponding to a calendar year. The majority of matches have been played at weekends in recent seasons. Central Stadium (Almaty)
The Central Stadium ( kk, "Алматы орталық стадионы", ''Almaty ortalyq stadıony'' or "Орталық стадион", ''Ortalyq stadıon''; Ortalyq Stadıony) is a multi-purpose stadium in Almaty, Kazakhstan and the largest sports complex in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Football Club Kairat ( kk, Qaırat Fýtbol Klýby) is a professional association football, football club based in Almaty, which plays in the Kazakhstan Premier League, the highest level of Football in Kazakhstan, Kazakh football. Founded in 1954 as Lokomotiv Alma-Ata, they became Urozhay in 1955 and Kairat in 1956. The club's home ground is the Central Stadium (Almaty), Central Stadium which has a capacity of 23,804. The club's home kit colours are yellow and black striped shirts, black shorts and black socks. Kairat was the leading Kazakh club during the Soviet period and the only representative of the Kazakh Soviet Socialist Republic in the Soviet Top League. Zhastar Stadium
Zhas Kanat Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Aktau, Kazakhstan. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of FC Caspiy. History The stadium was opened on April 19, 1995. The stadium's first match was held between " Munayshy" and " Elimay". In 2014, the authorities announced a possible transfer of the Zhas Kanat Stadium into private hands which caused a lot of indignation among parents of children training at the stadium, as well as among the coaches of the sports departments. The Kazakhstan Football Federation banned championship and cup matches at the stadium in early 2017 because of its inappropriate surface. Subsequently FC Caspiy had to play the home matches in Shymkent. The refurbishment began on 18 April 2018 and was completed in August 2018. Aktau
Aktau ( kk, Aqtau, Ақтау , russian: Актау) is a city in Kazakhstan, located on the eastern shore of the Caspian Sea. Its current name means "white mountain" in Kazakh, which may be due to its cliffs that overlook the Caspian. From 1964 to 1991, the city was known as Shevchenko. Football Club Caspiy ( kk, Каспий Ақтау Футбол Клубы, ''Kaspıı Aqtaý Fýtbol Klýby'') is a Kazakhstani football club based at the Zhastar Stadium in Aktau. The Astana Arena ( kk, Астана Арена) is a football stadium in Astana, Kazakhstan. The stadium holds 30,000 and has a retractable roof. It serves as the national stadium for the Kazakhstan national football team.
