Katia Grubisic
Katia Grubisic (born April 25, 1978, in Toronto, Ontario) is a Canadian writer, editor and translator. Biography Katia Grubisic completed French and English literature degrees at the University of New Brunswick, and received her master's degree from Concordia University. Her collection ''What if red ran out'' (Goose Lane Editions, 2008) won the Gerald Lampert Memorial Award for best first book, and was a finalist for the Quebec Writers' Federation A.M. Klein Prize for Poetry. Grubisic has also won the '' CV2'' 2-Day Poem Contest, has earned an honourable mention at the National Magazine Awards, has been a finalist for the CBC Literary Awards and the ''Descant''/Winston Collins Prize, and was nominated for a Pushcart Prize. Marie-Claire Blais
Marie-Claire Blais (5 October 1939 – 30 November 2021) was a Canadian writer, novelist, poet, and playwright from the province of Québec. In a career spanning seventy years, she wrote novels, plays, collections of poetry and fiction, newspaper articles, radio dramas, and scripts for television. She was a four-time recipient of the Governor General’s literary prize for French-Canadian literature, and was also a recipient of the Guggenheim Fellowship for creative arts. Marie-Célie Agnant (born 1953, Port-au-Prince, Haiti) is an author who has been living in Canada since 1970. Agnant is a writer of poems, novels and novellas, and she has also published children's books. She is also a storyteller and occasionally appears with the Bread & Puppet Theater of Vermont. Her works have been translated into Spanish, English, Dutch, Italian and Korean. Stephanie Bolster
Stephanie Bolster (born 1969) is a Canadian poet and professor of creative writing at Concordia University, Montreal. History She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Creative Writing (1991) and a Master of Fine Arts (1994) from the University of British Columbia. Her first book, ''White Stone: The Alice Poems'', won the Governor General's Award for poetry in 1998. Bolster's current project, "Long Exposure", is a book-length poem that takes as its starting point Robert Polidori's post-disaster photographs of New Orleans and Chernobyl.
