Kaohsiung Fisherman's Wharf
The Kaohsiung Fisherman's Wharf (also Fishermen's Wharf, ) was a wharf in Gushan District, Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Today it is Kaohsiung Port Warehouse No. 2 (KW2), a multi-functional space combining cultural creative industries, exhibitions and dining. History The wharf was originally the number 2 port of the port of Kaohsiung. Its previous function was exporting bananas, wood and steel. However, because of the transformation of economy and container automation, the function of the port declined gradually. The government promotes the tourism industry in these years, so the number 2 port had the chance to become a sightseeing wharf, combining seaside scenery and food. The name of the wharf became a more cultural one as the Kaohsiung Fisherman's Wharf. Nowadays, it has become one of Kaohsiung's scenic spots, following the successful step of Urban Spotlight Arcade and Love River. Urban Spotlight Arcade
The Urban Spotlight Arcade () is located at Central Park, Cianjin District, Kaohsiung, Taiwan. It spans from the roundabout of Wu-Fu 3rd Road and Chung-Hua Road to the intersection of Wu-Fu 3rd Road and Chung-Shan road. It is famous for its light decoration in the evening. Kaohsiung MRT
Kaohsiung Metro () is a rapid transit and light rail system covering the metropolitan area of Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Its rapid transit network is known as Kaohsiung Mass Rapid Transit or Kaohsiung MRT. Construction of the MRT started in October 2001. The MRT opened in 2008 and the Circular light rail in 2015. Sizihwan is a terminus of the Orange line and adjacent to Circular light rail Hamasen station of Kaohsiung Rapid Transit System. It is located in Hamasing of Gushan District, Kaohsiung. Love River
The Love River or Ai River () is a river (canal) in southern Taiwan. It originates in Renwu District, Kaohsiung City, and flows through Kaohsiung to Kaohsiung Harbor. Love River is the spine of Kaohsiung, playing a similar role to the River Thames of London. It is of great cultural significance to the people of Kaohsiung and plays an important role in its economy and tourism.
