Yoyo Ng Tsz Yau (; born 24 April 1998) is a Hong Kong badminton player. She started playing badminton at aged 5, and in 2013, she competed in the women's doubles event with Yeung Nga Ting. In 2017, she reach the mixed doubles semi final round at the Malaysia Masters, and in November 2017, she and Yeung won the senior tournament at the Tata Open India International tournament. Cheam June Wei (born 23 January 1997) is a Malaysian badminton player. He was the mixed doubles gold medalist at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics. Career Cheam started playing badminton at aged 8 in Penang. As a junior player, he has been trained by Teh Peng Huat, the former coach of world No. 1 Lee Chong Wei, for more than year before training under task Lim Theam Teow. In 2012, he won the mixed team bronze medal at the Asia Junior Championships in Gimcheon, South Korea. In 2014, he was promoted to join the national team from the Bukit Jalil Sports School, and at the same year he competed at the Nanjing Summer Youth Olympics and clinched the mixed doubles title with his partner from Hong Kong, Ng Tsz Yau. The mixed doubles badminton event at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics were held at Nanjing Sport Institute Nanjing Sport Institute () is a public university located in Nanjing, Jiangsu, China, specializing in sports and physical education. It was founded in 1956. Alumni who have won Olympic golds * Luan Jujie, Lin Li, Ge Fei, Gu Jun, Zhang Jun, Hu .... It was the first time the event was part of the Youth Olympic Games sports program and it was part of the mixed NOC events. The 64 qualified athletes from the boys and girls events was divided to mixed team. The 32 teams were split into eight groups, with four teams each. In their groups, they play a one-way round-robin and the first team of each group qualifies to the quarterfinals, where they play a knock-out stage until the medal matches. The Badminton World Federation (BWF) is the international governing body for the sport of badminton recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). It was founded in 1934 as the International Badminton Federation (IBF) with nine member nations (Canada, Denmark, England, France, Ireland, Netherlands, New Zealand, Scotland and Wales). Badminton At The 2014 Summer Youth Olympics
Badminton at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics took place from 17 to 22 August 2014. The competition was held at the Nanjing Sport Institute in Nanjing, China. Qualification 56 places, 28 per each gender were decided by the junior world rankings released on 2 May 2014. Each National Olympic Committee (NOC) could enter a maximum of 2 competitors per gender should they both rank in the top 4 in the junior world rankings. Each of the five continents must be represented in each gender thus the highest ranked player from each continent automatically qualifies. China will also automatically qualify due to it being the host nation, however this did not happen as China already qualified two athletes in each gender due to rankings. Finally, the quarterfinalists from the 2014 World Junior Championships qualified provided they did not surpass the maximum quota for each NOC.
