Kanni Rasi
''Kanni Rasi'' () is a 1985 Indian Tamil language film directed by newcomer Pandiarajan. The film stars Prabhu and Revathi. The film, produced by S. Shanmugarajan and D. Manickavasagam, had musical score by Ilaiyaraaja and was released on 15 February 1985. Plot Lakshmipathi (Prabhu) is a carefree youth in a village who searches for a job. His elder sister Kasthuri ( Sumithra) sends him a letter from Chennai, telling him to visit her and the villagers compel him to leave the village. He leaves the village to live with his sister. His brother-in-law Gopi Krishna (Goundamani) finds him a job as a watchman. Kasthuri's daughter Dhanalakshmi (Revathi) falls in love with Lakshmipathi for which he reciprocates as well, as it was then common for a girl to be married to her mom's younger brother. Kasthuri also wants to get them married and meets an astrologer. But the astrologer informs that their horoscopes don't match and if Lakshmipathi marries Dhanalakshmi, it will lead to his death ... Pandiarajan is an Indian actor, director who has played leading roles in many humorous Tamil films and currently plays supporting and comedy roles. Vasudevan (15 June 1944 – 20 February 2011), known as Malaysia Vasudevan, was a Malaysian-Indian playback singer and actor in Tamil cinema. Early life Malaysia Vasudevan's parents were from Palakkad. Chattu Nair of Ottappalam and Ammalu of Polpulli, along with their families migrated to British Malaya in search of a livelihood. After a few years, Chattu Nair married Ammalu in an arranged marriage. Vasudevan was born on 15 June 1944 as their eighth and youngest child. Gangai Amaran is an Indian music composer, singer, lyricist, writer, film director and actor in Tamil films. Personal life Gangai Amaran was born in Pannaipuram in Theni district, Tamil Nadu in December 1947, as the youngest son of Daniel Ramaswamy and Chinnathayi. Vairamuthu Ramasamy (born 13 July 1953) is an Indian lyricist, poet, and novelist working in the Tamil film industry. He is a prominent figure in the Tamil literary world.
