Kaita, Nigeria
Kaita is a local government area in Katsina State, Nigeria, sharing a border in the north with the Republic of Niger. Its headquarters are in the town of Kaita. Its current Transitions Committee Chairman, Engineer Bello Lawal Yandaki, has been running the affairs of the local government since his inauguration along with other 33 transitions committee chairmen of the 34 local government areas of the state in August 2018 by Katsina state governor Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari. Katsina State
Katsina State ''(Hausa: Jihar Katsina) (Fula: Leydi Katsina 𞤤𞤫𞤴𞤣𞤭 𞤳𞤢𞥁𞤭𞤲𞤢)'' is a state in the northwestern geopolitical zone of Nigeria. Aminu Bello Masari (born 29 May 1950) is a Nigerian politician and current Governor of Katsina State. He was the Commissioner for works, housing and transport Katsina state from 1991 to 1993. He was the speaker of the Nigerian House of Representatives between 2003 and 2007. Masari hails from Masari village of Kafur local government, Katsina State. Hausa (; /; Ajami: ) is a Chadic language spoken by the Hausa people in the northern half of Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon, Benin and Togo, and the southern half of Niger, Chad and Sudan, with significant minorities in Ivory Coast. Girka
Girka (Arabic and Ajami غرك) is a village in Kaita Local Government Katsina State, Nigeria. The word 'Girka' in Hausa may literally mean 'to base (something on).' It may also mean 'the spiritual activities of Bori.' The latter meaning has nothing to do with Girka village etymologically nor historically. Girka 'Sauri' is the title of Maigari (the Village Head). This title is derived from a Hausa word 'hasten' (to move or travel hurriedly). There was Sauri Isa who ruled between 1945 and 1984 and now his son has been leading the traditional affairs of the village for nearly four decades.
