Kadri Voorand
Kadri Voorand (born 18 November 1986, in Haljala) is an Estonian singer and composer. She has been the leader or a member of several musical groups, including Kadri Voorand Quartet and Estonian Voices. In 2021 she participated in "Eesti Laul 2021 Estonia participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 with the song " The Lucky One" written by Uku Suviste and Sharon Vaughn. Haljala
Haljala is a small borough ( et, alevik) in Lääne-Viru County, in northern Estonia. It's located about 10 km northwest of the town of Rakvere, by the Tallinn–Narva (Tallinn–Saint Petersburg) road (part of E20). Haljala is the administrative centre of Haljala Parish. As of 2011 Census, the settlement's population was 1,084. Haljala was first mentioned in 1241. One of the main sights in Haljala is Haljala church. It was initially built on an important crossing of Tallinn–Narva road with a road from Rakvere to the northern coast, particularly to the Toolse harbour. The first church was wooden and was built in the 13th century. The present stone church was built in the end of 14th century. Estonia participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 with the song " The Lucky One" written by Uku Suviste and Sharon Vaughn. The song was performed by Uku Suviste. The Estonian broadcaster (ERR) organised the national final in order to select the Estonian entry for the 2021 contest in Rotterdam, Netherlands. The national final consisted of three shows: two semi-finals and a final. Twelve songs competed in each semi-final and six from each semi-final as determined by a jury panel and public vote qualified to the final. In the final, the winner was selected over two rounds of voting. In the first round, a jury panel and a public vote selected the top three to qualify to the superfinal. In the superfinal, "The Lucky One" performed by Uku Suviste was selected as the winner entirely by a public vote.
