Kabelnoord
Kabelnoord (or officially known as NV Kabeltelevisie Noord-Oost Friesland) is a Frisian cable and fiber to the home (FTTH) operator, providing digital cable television, Internet, and telephone service to both residential and commercial customers, in the Dutch provinces of Friesland and Groningen. Kabelnoord was established in 1979 as a common utility company with the aim of connecting as many households as possible to cable television. In 1996 the company became a public limited company. At the end of the first quarter of 2013 almost 84% of the households in the Netherlands had some form of digital television. Terrestrial The Netherlands was the second European country to complete the move to digital terrestrial broadcasting on December 11, 2006. The switch-off was helped greatly by the fact that about 90% of the households have cable that continues to use analog distribution. Dokkum
Dokkum is a Dutch fortified city in the municipality of Noardeast-Fryslân in the province of Friesland. It has 12,669 inhabitants (February 8, 2020). The fortifications of Dokkum are well preserved and are known as the ''bolwerken'' (bulwarks). It is the fifth most popular shopping city in Friesland.
