Kabala (, ) is a village in the Artuklu District of Mardin Province in Turkey. The village is populated by Arabs, Kurds and the Mhallami and had a population of 8,519 in 2021. Artuklu District
Artuklu District is the central district of Mardin Province in Turkey and encompasses the city of Mardin. The district had a population of 186,622 in 2021. Creation According to the 2012 Metropolitan Municipalities Law (Law No. 6360), all Turkish provinces with a population more than 750000 will become metropolitan municipalities and the districts within the metropolitan municipalities will be second-level municipalities. The law also created new districts within the provinces in addition to current districts. In March 2019, Abdulkadir Tutaşı was elected mayor. Mardin Province
Mardin Province ( tr, Mardin ili; ku, Parêzgeha Mêrdînê; ar, محافظة ماردين) is a province of Turkey with a population of 809,719 in 2017, slightly down from the population of 835,173 in 2000. Mhallami
The Mhallami, Mahallami, or Mardelli ( ar, محلّمي, Mḥallame; ku, Mehelmî; syr, ܡܚܠ̈ܡܝܐ, Mḥallmāye; tr, Mıhellemi) is an Arabic-speaking tribal ethnic group traditionally living in and around the city of Mardin, Turkey. Due to migration since 1920 they have a large presence in Lebanon as well. As a result of the Lebanese Civil War, large numbers fled to Europe, particularly Germany.
