Kyle Landry
Kyle Landry (born April 4, 1986) is a Canadian former professional basketball player currently working as an assistant coach for the Calgary Surge of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL). He played college basketball for Northern Arizona and also represented the senior Canadian national basketball team. College career Landry played NCAA Division I college basketball at Northern Arizona University. He saw extensive action in all four years with the Lumberjacks, and averaged a team-leading 17.5 points and 8.1 rebounds per game, in his senior season (2007–08) for the team. Professional career After college, Landry signed with Polish side Sportino Inowrocław. In his only season with the club, 2008–09, he averaged 12.1 points and 10 rebounds per game. Canadian Elite Basketball League
The Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) is a men's professional minor league basketball organization. The CEBL was founded in 2017 and began play in 2019 with six teams competing all owned and operated by ownership group Canadian Basketball Ventures. The league currently consists of ten teams from six different provinces, with four being from Ontario, two from Alberta and one each from the provinces of British Columbia, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Quebec, making the CEBL the largest professional sports league based entirely in Canada. CEBL teams play twenty regular-season games from May to August. The season culminates in the six-team playoffs which include a final four Championship Weekend where the league's champion is crowned. Canada Men's National Basketball Team
The Canadian men's national basketball team represents Canada in international basketball competitions since 1923. They are overseen by Canada Basketball, the governing body of basketball in Canada. 2010 FIBA World Championship
The 2010 FIBA World Championship was the 16th FIBA World Championship, the international basketball world championship contested by the men's national teams. The tournament ran from 28 August to 12 September 2010. It was co-organised by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), Turkish Basketball Federation and the 2010 Organising Committee. It was considered as prestigious a competition as the Olympic Basketball Tournament. The tournament was hosted by Turkey. For the third time (after the 1986 and 2006 tournaments), the World Championship had 24 competing nations. As a result, the group stage games were played in four cities, and the knockout round was hosted by Istanbul. 2009 FIBA Americas Championship
The 2009 FIBA Americas Championship, later known as the FIBA AmeriCup, was the continental championship held by FIBA Americas, for North, Central and South America and the Caribbean. This FIBA AmeriCup championship served as a qualifying tournament for the 2010 FIBA World Championship in Turkey. Each of the top four finishers in the quarterfinal round robin qualified for the World Championship. Brazil won the gold medal, after beating host Puerto Rico, 61–60, in the title game. This was Brazil's fourth FIBA AmeriCup title, and second in the last three tournaments. At the time FIBA world number 1 ranked Argentina claimed the bronze medal, over fourth placed Canada. The Jenaro "Tuto" Marchand Continental Championship Cup, or simply the Marchand Continental Cup, or Tuto Marchand Cup, is a warm-up friendly tournament for the FIBA Americas regional zone senior men's basketball championship, the FIBA Americas Championship. Adriatic League
The ABA League, renamed to the ABA League First Division in 2017, is the 1st-tier regional men's professional basketball league that originally featured clubs from the former Yugoslavia (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia and Slovenia).
