Kyle Copeland
Kyle Copeland-Muse (born May 19, 1961) is an American former professional tennis player. Biography Copeland, a native of Montclair, New Jersey, graduated from Montclair High School. She is credited as the first black tennis player to appear for Louisiana State University in the SEC. She completed her collegiate career at Pepperdine University, graduating in 1982. In 1983 she won her biggest professional title when she partnered with Lori McNeil to win the $50,000 Bakersfield Open, an event that was part of the WTA's Virginia Slims series. The Wimbledon Championships, commonly known simply as Wimbledon, is the oldest tennis tournament in the world and is widely regarded as the most prestigious. It has been held at the All England Club in Wimbledon, London, since 1877 and is played on outdoor grass courts, with retractable roofs over the two main courts since 2019. Hélène Pelletier (born January 2, 1959) is a Canadian former professional tennis player. Biography Born in Charlesbourg, Quebec City, Charlesbourg, Pelletier showed talent in water skiing as a child and only took up tennis at the age of 14. She trained for a short time at the Hopman Academy in Florida before injuring her ankle and played tennis for Rollins College. In 1979 she won a 1979 Pan American Games, Pan American Games silver medal in women's doubles and a mixed doubles bronze at the 1979 Summer Universiade, Summer Universiade in Mexico City. She played college tennis for the University of Florida, and was women's tennis head coach at the University of Washington until May 2014.
