Kyiv Music Fest
Kyiv Music Fest ( uk, Київ Музик Фест), is an annual international music festival in Kyiv, Ukraine that profiles modern Ukrainian classical music aiming to promote Ukrainian musicians in the context of world art. The co-founders of the state-funded festival are the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine and the National Union of Composers of Ukraine. The festival is held annually in late September to early October. The program of the festival consists works of modern Ukrainian and foreign composers, solo artists and music groups performing. National Opera Of Ukraine
The Kyiv Opera group was formally established in the summer of 1867, and is the third oldest in Ukraine, after Odessa Opera and Lviv Opera. The Kyiv Opera Company perform at the National Opera House of Ukraine named after Taras Shevchenko in Kyiv. Ihor Shcherbakov
Ihor Shcherbakov (born 19 November 1955 in Dnipropetrovs’k) is a Ukrainian composer. He won a 1999 Shevchenko National Prize for "Trap for a witch". Since 2010, he is President of the National Union of Composers of Ukraine. He graduated from the P. I. Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine. He teaches at the Ukrainian National Academy of Music. His ''Canzone for Two Violins'' was performed at the 2020 Ukrainian Contemporary Music Festival. Premieres of the Season is an international music festival founded by the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine and the Kyiv Organization of the National Union of Composers of Ukraine on December 1, 1988. The initiator and music director of the festival is Ukrainian composer Ihor Shcherbakov. Since 1989, it has been held annually in Kyiv, Ukraine, in the Spring, from late March to early April. Kontrasty
Kontrasty or Contrasts is an international festival of contemporary music held in Lviv, Ukraine, annually since 1995. The festival's concept is aimed at presenting "contemporary Ukrainian music in the context of World Music" and "revealing the diversity of modern forms, styles, genres, and interpretations." The festival usually takes place in September and October. Along with such festivals as "Two Days and Two Nights of New Music," "Kyiv Music Fest" and others, "Contrasts" is one of the leading festivals of modern classical music in Ukraine.
