Morris Kyffin
Morris Kyffin (c. 1555 – 2 January 1598) was a Welsh author and soldier, brother of the poet Edward Kyffin. He was also a student and friend of Doctor John Dee. Kyffin was a member of a literary circle that included the Queen's Godson Sir John Harington (writer), Edmund Spenser, and William Camden. Austin Kyffin-Taylor
Austin Taylor (1858 – 27 April 1955) was a Conservative Party, later Liberal Party, politician in the United Kingdom. Early life Taylor was born in Everton in 1858, the son of Rev. William Taylor, a vicar and later Archdeacon of Liverpool. His brother W. F. Taylor was a KC in the Northern Circuit and Recorder of Bolton and his brother Gerald Kyffin-Taylor was MP for Liverpool Kirkdale from 1910 to 1915. He was educated at Liverpool College and at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge, where he took his BA degree in 1880. Joining the steamship and merchants company ''Messrs. Gerald Kyffin-Taylor
Brigadier-General Gerald Kyffin-Taylor (9 March 1863 – 11 December 1949) was a British soldier and politician. Kyffin-Taylor was educated at Liverpool College.''Who Was Who'', Published by A&C Black Limited. In 1886, he joined the volunteer force (later Territorial Army, specifically the 5th battalion of the King's (Liverpool) Regiment as a private. William Francis Kyffin Taylor, 1st Baron Maenan (9 July 1854 – 22 September 1951), was a prominent English barrister and judge. He was a Railway and Canal Commissioner from 1930 to its abolition in 1949, and was its last member. Background and education Taylor was the son of the Venerable William Francis Taylor, Archdeacon of Liverpool. History Thomas was a son of William Kyffin Thomas and grandson of Robert Thomas and followed in their footsteps in the newspaper business. Sir Robert Kyffin Thomas (19 August 1851 – 13 June 1910) was a South Australian newspaper proprietor. Sir Robert was born at Nailsworth, South Australia, the son of William Kyffin Thomas, proprietor of the ''South Australian Register''. Thomas's grandfather Robert Thomas printed ''South Australian Gazette and Colonial Register'' in London in 1829, and ''The South Australian Register'', the first South Australian newspaper, in 1839. He also printed the first ''Government Gazette'', but lost that business when he ran foul of Governor Gawler. Thomas was educated at Mr. J. L. Young's' Adelaide Educational Institution, a contemporary of the Right Hon. C. C. Kingston. He took up journalism at the age of 18 and was soon chief reporter. Kyffin Williams
Sir John Kyffin Williams, (9 May 1918 – 1 September 2006) was a Welsh landscape painter who lived at Pwllfanogl, Llanfairpwll, on the Island of Anglesey. Williams is widely regarded as the defining artist of Wales during the 20th century. Personal life Williams was born in Llangefni, Anglesey, one of two sons into an old landed Anglesey family. His father was a bank manager. Williams wrote that his mother was an emotionally repressed woman who had a virulent dislike of the Welsh and the Welsh language. Kyffin Simpson (born 9 October 2004 in Bridgetown, Barbados) is a Cayman-based American- Barbadian racing driver. Biography Barbados-born but a resident of the British overseas territory of the Cayman Islands, Simpson made his car racing debut in 2020 for Velocity Racing Development in the US Formula 4 Championship after 9 years of karting across the Caribbean. He twinned this with a Formula Regional Americas Championship campaign, and dominated the championship in his second season with podiums in all but five races. Winning the FR Americas title meant Kyffin was in line to receive HPD’s scholarship fund worth $600,000 to drive for one of the Honda-powered teams in Super Formula in 2022, but he turned it down due to Japan’s ongoing travel restrictions due to COVID-19.
