Kwadwo/Kwadjo/Kojo (Kwadwo in Ghana) is an Akan masculine given name originating from the Akan people, meaning born on a Monday. Kwadwo Asamoah
Kwadwo Asamoah (, ; born 9 December 1988) is a Ghanaian former professional footballer. Mainly a left midfielder or left-back, he was also occasionally deployed as a central midfielder. Asamoah began his professional career with Italian club Udinese in 2008; his consistent performances earned him a transfer to Juventus in 2012, where, with his energy, versatility, and technical skills, he played a key role in helping the club to six consecutive Serie A titles between 2013 and 2018, among other titles, although his appearances at the club were limited by injuries during his later seasons. Kwadwo Poku (born 19 February 1992) is a Ghanaian professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder. Club career Youth Poku played in the youth system of his hometown club, Asante Kotoko SC, in Kumasi, Ghana. Georgia Revolution In late 2010, Poku moved to the US and joined 4th division side Georgia Revolution ahead of their 2011 season. Playing as a striker in the 2012 and 2013 NPSL seasons Poku was his team's top scorer and in the 2013 season he also contributed a team-high seven assists. Kwadwo Gyamfi-Poku (born 5 May 1985), or simply Kojo Poku, is a Ghanaian former professional footballer who played as a striker. Career Poku began his career by Asante Kotoko, the former Ghana Olympic striker came to prominence in 2002 when he was promoted from the junior team of Kotoko and succeeded in making an immediate impact in Kotoko's journey to the finals of the 2002 African Cup Winner Cup, which they eventually lost to Wydad Casablanca of Morocco in the final. Yasmin Kwadwo (born 9 November 1990) is a German track and field athlete who competes in the sprints. Her personal best for the 100 metres is 11.29 seconds. She won two gold medals at the European Athletics Junior Championships in 2009 and represented Germany at the 2010 IAAF World Indoor Championships. Kwadwo Osseo-Asare is an Ghanaian materials scientist who is Distinguished Professor of Materials Science and Engineering at the Pennsylvania State University. He was awarded the American Institute of Mining, Metallurgical, and Petroleum Engineers Gold Medal in 1997. He was elected a member of the National Academy of Engineering in 2004 for contributions to the fundamental understanding of interfacial phenomena in leaching and solvent extraction. Kwadwo Baah-Wiredu (1952 – 24 September 2008) was a Ghanaian politician and a chartered accountant. He was Member of Parliament in the Parliament of Ghana for Asante Akim North Constituency from January 1997 until his death on September 24, 2008. Kwadwo Afari-Gyan (born 18 June 1945) is a Ghanaian academic, political scientist and election administrator. He was Chairman of the Electoral Commission of Ghana from 1993 to 2015. Major Kojo Boakye-Djan (or Kwadwo Boakye Djan) is a Ghanaian military officer and politician. He is known to have planned the coup that brought Flight Lieutenant Jerry John Rawlings to power in Ghana on 4 June 1979 with other junior officers. The Asante Empire (Asante Twi: ), today commonly called the Ashanti Empire, was an Akan state that lasted between 1701 to 1901, in what is now modern-day Ghana.
