William Kvist
William Vitved Kvist (né Kvist Jørgensen; born 24 February 1985) is a Danish former professional footballer who played as a midfielder for Danish club Copenhagen as well as for the Denmark national team. He played 43 matches and scored four goals for various national youth teams, and was an important player to the senior team. Club career Born in Rønde in Jutland, Kvist started his football career at his local club Thorsager Rønde IF at the age of five. Two years later he moved to Copenhagen where he started with KB; one of the two clubs behind F.C. Copenhagen. While at KB, he made his debut for the Danish youth national teams (in November 2000), and played four matches at the 2002 UEFA European Under-17 Football Championship. As a child, Kvist also played handball; as a footballer he is renowned for his very long throw-ins. Per Kvist
Per Kvist was the artist name of Vidar Wexelsen (4 April 1890 – 23 May 1947), a Norwegian revue writer, entertainer, stage actor, film actor and children's writer. Personal life Wexelsen was born in Overhalla as a son of vicar, politician and eventually bishop Vilhelm Andreas Wexelsen and Anna Beata Nilssen. He was a cousin of Gunnar Jahn and uncle of Karl Evang. He spent long periods of his childhood in Kristiania, when his father was a member of the Storting and of the government. From 1905 to his death in 1909 his father was appointed bishop of the Diocese of Nidaros in Trondheim. Out of consideration for his well-regarded family he adopted the nom de guerre Per Kvist. He was married twice. In 1919 he married Kally Bachke (née Løchen), a daughter of painter and actor Kalle Løchen. After their divorce in 1931, he married actress Sigrun Svenningsen in 1932. Jon Kvist (born 6 January 1967) is a Danish researcher and author. He is a professor at the Institute of Society and Globalization, at the Roskilde University, as well as a member of the Nordic Centre of Excellence on Reassessing the Nordic Welfare Model. Biography Kvist is the son of a teacher and a psychiatrist. He studied at the University of Odense in Denmark and at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. From 1998 to 2008, Kvist was a senior researcher for the Danish National Institute of Social Research. In 2002, Kvist co-founded ESPAnet, the European network of Social Policy Analysts, a group of academics who study European social policy. He was a member of its board until 2008.
