Kvinnens Plass
''Kvinnens plass'' (A Woman's Place) is a Norwegian drama film from 1956 directed by Nils R. Müller. The script was written by Müller and Eva Seeberg. Plot The journalist Tore Haugen returns to Norway from the United States. He falls in love with the journalist Tore Næss and soon discovers that he has a job with the same newspaper as her. Næss shows outstanding qualities and develops into a star reporter, whereas Haugen is mediocre. When they have children together, the question arises which of them will sacrifice their career to be at home with the child. Haugen soon finds himself comfortable in the role of a stay-at-home father. Oscar Egede-Nissen
Oscar Egede-Nissen (March 7, 1903 – November 1, 1976) was a Norwegians, Norwegian actor. He appeared in dozens of films from his debut in 1936 onward, his last being ''An-Magritt'' in 1969. Egede-Nissen was an unruly child, and he was sent to the alternative Odenwaldschule, Odenwald School in Germany. He came home and started high school, but soon left again, this time on a long trip to South America. He went whaling and spent time in Buenos Aires. He ended up as an illegal immigrant to the United States, where he became a professional soldier and flew to the Philippines. There he had a falling out with a lieutenant, and he was sentenced to ten years' imprisonment. With the help of connections in Norway, including Prime Minister Johan Ludwig Mowinckel, he was pardoned after 14 months. Erling Lindahl (Juni 23, 1903 – August 8, 1973) was a Norwegian actor and stage director. Lindahl debuted in 1933 at the Comedy Theater ( no, Komediateatret) in Bergen and later performed at the National Theater. He appeared in many films and performed at various theaters. Per Lillo-Stenberg (21 June 1928 – 27 March 2014) was a Norwegian actor. His best known roles are in the movies '' Olsenbanden gir seg aldri!'' (1981) and '' Olsenbandens siste stikk'' (1999). He was born in Oslo. He and his wife Mette Lange-Nielsen had a son, Lars Lillo-Stenberg, a musician for deLillos. Lillo-Stenberg died after a short illness on 27 March 2014 in Levanger. He was 85. Ella Hval (born Ella Signe Quist Kristoffersen) (7 January 1904 – 17 December 1994) was a Norwegian actress. She was principally a stage actress and was also an instructor and teacher at the Nationaltheatret student school. Personal life Ella was born in Kristiania (now Oslo), Norway. She was a daughter of Kristoffer Kristoffersen and Anne Marie Quist. In her younger days she was active within the labour movement, where she took part in the entertainment by playing amateur theatre. Here she met the poet Rudolf William Nilsen (1901–29), and they got married in 1924. In 1929, Nilsen died of tuberculosis after only five years of marriage. In 1932 she remarried to physician Einar Hval (1901–1958). Career She started acting professionally in 1932, when she appeared at the Oslo revue theater Chat Noir. Turid Haaland
Turid Haaland (June 23, 1908 – October 12, 1979) was a Norwegian actress. Haaland debuted in 1926 at the Norwegian Theater. She played the daughter in Runar Schildt's play ''Den store rolla'', and the character's parents were played by her real parents, Mally Carenius Haaland and Ingjald Haaland, who were both actors. She was later mainly associated with the New Theater (and its successor, the Oslo New Theater), mainly in comedy roles, such as Nille in ''Jeppe på Bjerget''. Hilde Grythe (born 18 July 1955) is a Norwegian actress. Grythe was born in Oslo to actress and stage director Kirsten Sørlie and television personality Odd Grythe, and is married to violinist Terje Tønnesen.
