Kutho
Kutho ( my, ကုသိုလ်; born Myint Thein) was a well known Burmese director and comedian, active from 1990s to 2010s. He started as a comedian at anyeints before becoming a director in show business. He shot a video in which reputed actor Dwe impersonated as a woman. He opened a food shop when the show business was declined later. Other contemporary comedians were Po Phyu, Kyaw Htoo, Kin Kaung, Myittar and Zaganar. His son, Ponna Kutho, is also in film business. Anyeint
Anyeint (; ; my, အငြိမ့်; also spelt a-nyeint) is a traditional Burmese entertainment form that combines dance with instrumental music, song, and comedy routines, in theatrical performances.Seekins, Donald M. Kin Kaung
Kin Kaung ( my, ကင်းကောင်, also spelt King Kaung, born Myo Myint; 21 May 1964 – 22 January 2019) was a renowned Burmese comedian and actor. He debuted as a comedian in the traditional anyeint troupe ''Mya Ponnama'' in 1985. Early life Kin Kaung was born on 21 May 1964 in Rangoon, Burma. He is the second son of four siblings. After he finished high school, he began studying Burmese at the Yangon University. In his second year, in 1983, he went to the university anyeint to be a slapstick comedian. Career In 1985, Kin Kaung became one of the comedians in the anyeint troupe Mya Ponnama, organized by Zaganar whose shows frequently appeared on television. Early on, his artist name was "A Shay Gyi" and eventually changed his name to Kin Kaung. Kin became a professional famous comedian and actor for many direct-to-videos and films. Zaganar
Maung Thura "Zarganar" (also called Zaganar, my, ဇာဂနာ; also Zargana, ); born 27 January 1961) is a popular Burmese comedian, film actor, and a film director as well as a fierce critic and often political prisoner of the Burmese military government. Known for his wicked puns against the government which is a military junta, Zarganar, whose name translates to "tweezers", is widely considered to be the most popular comedian and satirist in Myanmar. In September 2006, Zarganar was banned indefinitely from performing publicly or participating in any kind of entertainment related work. He was arrested on 4 June 2008 for speaking to foreign media about the situation of millions of people left homeless after a cyclone devastated the Irrawaddy Delta. In November 2008, he was sentenced to 59 years in prison, convicted of "public order offenses", under four sections of the criminal code—17/2, 32 (b), 295 (a) and 505 (b), much more than the anticipated maximum of two years.
