Kurylivka Rural Hromada
Kurylivka ( uk, Курилівка; russian: Куриловка) is an urban-type settlement in Dnipro Raion, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Ukraine. It is located on the right bank of the Dnieper, downstream of the Kamianske Reservoir, across the river from the city of Kamianske. Kurylivka belongs to Petrykivka settlement hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Population: Until 18 July 2020, Kurylivka belonged to Petrykivka Raion. The raion was abolished in July 2020 as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, which reduced the number of raions of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast to seven. The area of Petrykivka Raion was merged into Dnipro Raion. Petrykivka Settlement Hromada
Petrykivka ( uk, Петриківка) is an urban-type settlement in Dnipro Raion, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast (province) in east-central Ukraine. It hosts the administration of Petrykivka settlement hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Population: . Petrykivka is famous as a folk art centre and for its unique style of decorative painting, which is inscribed by UNESCO as significant Intangible Cultural Heritage of Ukraine. History According to a legend, the settlement was founded by the Cossack Petryk, who gathered under his protection the serfs from the local villages. Petrykivka was first mentioned in historical documents in 1772, when the residents of neighbouring Kurylivka village asked Kosh Otaman Petro Kalnyshevsky to move their Orthodox Chapel to a safer place because of flooding. Kremenchuk
Kremenchuk (; uk, Кременчу́к, Kremenchuk ) is an industrial city in central Ukraine which stands on the banks of the Dnipro River. The city serves as the administrative center of the Kremenchuk Raion (district) in Poltava Oblast (province). Highway H08 (Ukraine)
H08 is an important Ukraine national highway ( H-highway) in Kyiv, Cherkasy, Poltava, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk Oblasts. H08 begins in Boryspil, passes through Pereyaslav, Zolotonosha, Hradyzk, Kremenchuk, Verkhnodniprovsk, Kamianske and Dnipro. Until 9 August 2017, the highway ended in the city of Zaporizhzhia, but a resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers changed its final destination to Mariupol. In October 2020, work began on the construction of the southern bypass of Dnipro (7 km long). A hromada ( uk, територіальна громада, lit=territorial community, translit=terytorialna hromada) is a basic unit of administrative division in Ukraine, similar to a municipality. It was established by the Government of Ukraine on 12 June 2020. Similar terms exist in Poland (''gromada'') and in Belarus (''hramada''). Kamianske Reservoir
The Kamianske Reservoir (, ) is a water reservoir located on the lower part of the Dnieper River in Ukraine. Named after the name of the city of Kamianske, it covers a total area of 567 square kilometres within the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. It was formed in 1963-1965. The reservoir is mainly used for generating hydroelectric power, transportation, fish farming, and human consumption. The reservoir is 114 km in length, 5 km in width (8 km max.); has a depth of 15 meters, and a volume of 2.45 km³. During winter, the reservoir freezes over. The ports of Kremenchuk and the Dnieper Mineral Enrichment Complex in Horishni Plavni are located on the reservoir.
