Kurt Hockerup
Kurt Hockerup (December 18, 1944 – March 29, 2010) was a Danish politician, who served as mayor of Vallensbæk Municipality from 1994 until his death, elected for Conservative People's Party. He was elected to the municipal first time in 1966. He was in many years chairman of the municipality's technical committee, and became mayor in 1994. In 2004 he demanded that the municipality remained independent in the forthcoming local government, which the majority of voters in a referendum backed up on. Vallensbæk got a cooperation agreement with Ishøj Municipality and remained thus independent. Kurt Hockerup died on March 29, 2010, from cardiac arrest. After his death, Henrik Rasmussen was elected as new mayor. Vallensbæk Municipality
Vallensbæk Municipality is a municipality (Danish language, Danish: ''Municipalities of Denmark, kommune'') in the Capital Region of Denmark on Zealand. It is part of the Urban area of Copenhagen, Greater Copenhagen area and consist primarily of the suburb of Vallensbæk. It is one of the smallest municipalities in Denmark in terms of area. Vallensbæk Municipality borders the municipalities of Ishøj Municipality, Ishøj, Høje-Taastrup Municipality, Høje-Taastrup, Albertslund Municipality, Albertslund and Brøndby Municipality, Brøndby. It borders Køge Bay, and the Køge Bay Beach Park (Danish: ''Køge Bugt Strandpark'') along the coast. The suburb of Vallensbæk consists of two sections, not directly connected to each other: Vallensbæk Nordmark in the north and Vallensbæk Strand in the south. Poul Hansen (23 April 1922 — 14 June 2017) was a Danish politician from the Conservative People's Party. He was the leader of Vallensbæk Parish Municipality from 1967 and until the formation of the new Vallensbæk Municipality after the 1970 Danish Municipal Reform The 1970 Danish Municipal Reform was an extensive administrative reform in Denmark which on 1 April 1970 reduced the number of Danish municipalities from 1,098 to 277 and the number of counties from 25 to 14. The Conservative People's Party ( da, Det Konservative Folkeparti, DKF), also known as The Conservatives () is a conservative centre-right political party in Denmark. The party is a member of the European People's Party (EPP) and International Democrat Union. Henrik Bo Fomsgaard Rasmussen (born 18 September 1971) is a Danish politician. He became the mayor of Vallensbæk Municipality when the former mayor, Kurt Hockerup, died on 29 March 2010. He had been the deputy mayor since 2002. He remained the mayor after the 2013 and 2017 local elections. He has been in the municipal council for Vallensbæk Municipality since 1994. Glostrup
Glostrup is a Danish town in Region Hovedstaden, forming one of the western suburbs of Copenhagen. It is the administrative seat of Glostrup Municipality, with an estimated population of 22,357 . During the 20th century Glostrup developed from a small railroad town into a modern middle class suburb. The population reached a peak during the 1970s flight from central Copenhagen, but has since stabilized. While most of Copenhagens western suburbs are dominated by public housing projects, Glostrups mix is around the Danish average. Ishøj Municipality
Ishøj Municipality (Danish: ''Ishøj Kommune'') is a municipality (Danish: '' kommune'') in Region Hovedstaden on the island of Zealand (''Sjælland'') in eastern Denmark. The municipality covers 26 km², with a total population of 21,675 (1 April 2014), many of whom are Pakistani, African, Arab, or Turkish immigrants. Cardiac arrest is when the heart suddenly and unexpectedly stops beating. It is a medical emergency that, without immediate medical intervention, will result in sudden cardiac death within minutes.
