''Kurangu Bommai'' () is a 2017 Indian Tamil-language crime thriller film, written and directed by Nithilan Swaminathan. The film stars Vidharth, Delna Davis and Bharathiraja, with Elango Kumaravel and P. L. Thenappan in supporting roles. Featuring music composed by Ajaneesh Loknath and cinematography by Udhayakumar, the film released on 1 September 2017 to positive reviews from film critics. The film was remade in Kannada as ''Ombattane Dikku''. Plot Ekambaram is a don in Thanjavur who smuggles expensive idols and artifacts. Sundaram is a coworker and friend of Ekambaram. Nithilan Swaminathan
Nithilan Saminathan is an Indian film director and screenwriter who works in the Tamil film industry. He is known for his debut film, ''Kurangu Bommai'' and ''Maharaja'', one of the highest grossing Tamil films of 2024. Early life Nithilan initially aspired to join the military like his relatives, but his love for films and poetry gradually steered him towards filmmaking. Prem Kumar Gangai Amaren (born 26 February 1979), better known as Premgi, is an Indian playback singer, composer, songwriter, actor and comedian.
